Plenty to do in the way of boating (kayaking), fishing and camping. The beach is close and the seaside towns are just a hope, skip and jump away.
The campground is well shaded and roomy for a state park. Privacy is pretty good as state parks go as well.
Showers and bathrooms were dated but kept clean. No complaints.
I had Verizon and had fair signal. (I was using my WeBoost, but probably could have gone without it.)
A note on Oregon State Parks and Veterans. All the other states could take lessons from Oregon. Their Special Access Pass is second to none. They will allow you to apply even if you are not an Oregon State resident. They only care that you served your country. THE WAY IT SHOULD BE.)
We stayed in the moon-RV park side. Much more roomy and shaded. Good cellular data with Verizon. You can use the RV park side laundry and store.
Have I said how much we love the place.
I really liked this place. But be warned. It is nicknamed hurricane ridge. (Because of that, my Wife liked it less than I did.)
Great TV signal and cellular! No cellular amplifier required.)
Great place when visiting the Valley of Fire
We loved this hidden gem of a campground. We’ll definitely be back. Even with a weboost, cellular was poor. However, with the WeBoost, we could text and call. We don’t have a starlink system, but we did see others using it. Good view of the sky for it.
We’ve camped here before on our way to the coast. It’s cheap and I have bell service. (I am using a bell , but probably don’t need it.)
I love this place as dispersed camping is our favorite. We are not stacked in n together and have great views of tue Sawtooth. My speed test was done with Verizon and I was using a WeBoost.
We stayed the first night in D32. Full hookups on a nice concrete pad. Clean, good power and water. The dump at the campsite was perfect. But my price with a senior discount was over $80. For that, I would expect cable and maybe an on-site pool. Little rich for my blood.
The next day, we moved to a dry campsite, 4-105. This is boondocking with a picnic table. Not complaining about that at all as we prefer boondocking. But at $27 a night, still a little pricey.
There’s access to a shower and laundry facility. (After 3 weeks in the road, we were desperate for laundry.)
On the plus, the view over Lake Powell was fantastic. We came here as we extended our road trip and I didn’t have a lot of campground research time. If I came back to this area, I would do more homework.
Nice concrete pads with water and partial shade. Not too crowded. Beautifully groomed.
Even though there are plenty of people camping here, it wasn’t too crowded and the views were great.
We stayed here while visiting the Valley of Fire State Park.
I would say that the wind can be something here. Take a look at prevailing winds if you have slide toppers and park accordingly.
We have Verizon and had good service here. Not too far from town. We extended our boondocking by using our tote when we went to the state park and dumped in their RV dump. They have water too.
Solar was greatly here. I would stay away in warmer seasons though.
