Clean and spacious

Great stop. The Most Immaculate pit toilets ever! Many pull through sites. Easy on/off Hwy 139. Trees . Quiet. Only one other camper there on a Monday . Honor federal interagency passes.

Wooded camp near lake

They have about 4 first come first serve sites, otherwise sites are available if tag on site is not for the nite you pull in. Plenty were available when we were there on a Sunday afternoon. Most sites are wide but many are not real long, but width allows for unhooking and space for vehicle or creative parking. Sites are spread out nicely. Our site had no site on one side and back to a trail to lake. Toilets were flush with sink. They honor the senior/golden/etc passes. Some highway noise. But quiet at nite.

Nice folk, camp like sardines

Nice folk working and camping. Very full campground parked in like sardines. Mainly fishing guys. Some are guides and will take you out fishing the rogue river Clean park. Reasonable rate around $40รท/- for full hookup.

Close proximity to beach with ocean view

Staff super nice and accommodating. Lots of trees. Most sites have a private feel. Close to beach. Very nice day use area with awesome view of ocean. Clean. Near Charleston and a nice fish market and other amenities.

Small wooded FS camp

If you need a spot dont moss this one! Easy access from highway though only a 1/4 mile to CG sign . Did not see a Howard's Gulch sign. Clean, quiet, some road noise IF a vehicle goes by. Lots of trees, a short hiking trail, good tasting water. Probably won't accommodate big rigs 35' max????

FS Camp on the Shoshone River

Wonderful! Trees , river, wildlife. Camped 6/2/2024. Wish we could've stayed longer than 1 nite. Not crowded . It must get more crowded later in summer and fall. ??? Requires hard sided camp unit.

3 loop FS campground

Lots of trees and sites were nicely spread out. Loop C seemed to have more tent only or van camping. But all types of camping units were dispersed throughout. Potential for being a Quiet, somewhat secluded campground except our stay coincided with a camper who left a generator running 7- 10:00 even when gone. Lake was walking distance from most all sites plus had its own parking lot. ORV use is heavy in area and some periodically came thro main road , but not too bad Our stay was 6/12,13/2024

Wonderful National Park campground

Lots of trees and plenty of space between most sites. Clean toilets with running water. Drinking water spikets throughout with a camper water fill Station at entranceโ€ฆ no dump station. Seemed odd numbers were reservation and even numbered sites were first come. We reserved site 3 but were very disappointed, it was not an accommodating site for our truck and small 23' camperโ€ฆ BUT the campground host allowed us to switch to another site that was available!! Awesome!!!Our stay was 6/10,11/2024

Clean campground donation fee accepted

Very nicely run campground and wonderful host. All sites easy walk to or on Reservoir. Trains seemed to whistle through across highway at least 1x every hour until late at night. ๐Ÿ™„ clean bathrooms. Lots of grass area. Locals with their water toys made for happy campers all around. Stayed one nite 6/14/24

Free blm campground

I think this may be the same campground as Salida North??? Our stay was 6/16/24. small sites with firepit and table available no water or toilet. A handful of sites could accommodate our 23' camper trailer. Quiet place. Though by morning most sites were taken. Many "car" campers pulled in for overtime stayโ€ฆ Google took us too far up canyon . Turn off hwy 285 go over bridge and take dirt road to right.
