Lots of RVs packed in close together. Bath house was OK. On the good side there were lots of families and pets. Playground with bounce house. Pool and basketball courts. Office staff was efficient and helpful.
State Park with decent bath and shower facilities. Lots of space between sites.
Spaces tend to be a little uneven, especially the pull through spots.
Great hikes or bike rides all over the place.
While I’m pissed is not the best time to write a review, but I’ll try to be fair.
Pool/ hot tub is nice . Shower facility was clean and decent sized. Lots of wildlife: birds, alligators, and rabbits. That’s where my positive review ends.
They wedged us into a spot between two permanent trailers which was disappointing, especially since there were open spots available.
Office hours were posted but rarely found it to be open, which was a little frustrating.
Most off putting thing was the experience I had while showering. I was finishing a nice 7-10 minute shower when guy that works for the place walks up, just outside the curtain and says, “man, you take long showers”. I can’t describe how uncomfortable and in appropriate that felt.
We had low expectations, but were extremely happy with this place. The pictures online do not do it justice. Lots of water around and some trees.
It was a little bit of a drive into Charleston, but we don’t like to camp in the hustle and bustle of a city about 20 minutes to downtown.
Operators were very nice. Back-in spot was a little tight, but fairly level. We were very close to bathrooms that could have been cleaner but were handy.
Shower facilities were clean and the laundry room was big. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool, it was cute.
Close enough to Savanna to be convenient but far enough out to be quiet.
First, the check in process was like checking into a nice hotel. Front desk was courteous and prepared. They had guide ready to escort us to our spot.
Our back-in site was level and easy to get into. They could use a few more trees, but everything was manicured and beautiful.
The facilities make this place nearly a destination resort in itself. Beautiful pool and hot tub. Lazy lagoon and kids water park we being filled while we were there. Pool, darts, ping pong, etc in the common area with TVs surrounded by the nicest shower we had all trip. Didn’t use the laundry but looked clean and nice.
We really wanted to stay down near the beach, but all the State Parks were full and the RV resorts looked more like trailer parks and expensive parking lots. We decided on Stagecoach and were very pleased. The staff was very efficient and friendly.
All the sites were pull-thrus and level which made set up easy. There were a few trees giving us shade from the hot FL sun. Shower facilities were clean. Laundry room had no change machine so make sure you’ve got quarters. Behind the resort “beyond the fence” was an area the is use for flying remote control planes and they were fun to watch.
