Best campground ever

Where to start?

Level sites, cleanest spacious bathhouses ever, FHU, camp sink, dirty dog sink!, strong CG wifi.

Will update with more details later.

Not what we like

FHU sites for all, $75/night.

Pro: inside Grand Canyon NP.

Cons:

  1. Showers are at Mather Campground, $2.50 for 5 min ending at 2045.
  2. Bathrooms are barely serviceable. Rather use my own instead (usually don’t due to limited black/grey tank sizes). When paying for CG, I look for good bathrooms.
  3. No camp sink.
  4. Water spigot next to sewer. Questionable how others have used it.
Decent if you don’t use their facilities

Nice people. Helpful. However they bathhouses were horrible. One was disgusting in the back of the campground. The other one had broken handle on women bathroom so women had to shower in the mens. Which wasn’t very good. Shower didn’t drain, bugs all over.

FSR 302 close to Grand Canyon

First time camping in BLM. Didn’t know what to expect. Found a spot 3422K around 5:20 PM - didn’t see anyone else camping up to that point.

Site entry was level and the site itself was level.

Up until 5:30/5:40 there were helicopters flying low nearby. Once they stopped, very quiet.

Great location for Arches NP

Had FHU, primarily just used electric. No shade in my spot but some sites had limited shade.

Tight spots. Neighbors very close.

Bathhouse is in good clean condition. 3 toilets, 2 urinals, 4 showers. Nice setup with few bugs in July.

Pool looked very clean, covered each night.

Campground kept clean.

Nice facilities, all around good

Night 1 of 2, already like this campground. Bathhouses are good/great. Site 37 is close to 2, one is newer than the other. The old one is decent, new one is very nice with private baths/showers. Clean.

Site is clean and fairly level (slight grade). Water/electric 30 amp. Somewhat close to next site but no big deal. Decent amount of privacy except for the wildlife! Elk we’re casually walking through!

Camp hosts David and his wife (Jackie?) were great when checking in, with tips on RMNP.

Bit expensive with fees. Almost $70/night inclusive.

Good signal with AT&T
