This 12 acre lake is one of our favorite camping spots. They have a group of volunteers who have put a lot of work into making this a nice state park, and the people that work here are the best. We have a pull through facing the lake. Beautiful view. It is close to the swimming spot for the campers so can be a little noisy during the day, but we didn’t mind. Love the lake for kayaks and fishing. We find ourselves coming back here again and again.
Stopped for our second time. Great place for a quick stop. Right off the highway. Quiet. Nice people. Clean. Pull-thru site.
Small campground with close spots. With that being said, the campground is well kept. The bathhouses are very clean. The trails are well kept. The falls are gorgeous. The campground is very quiet with lots of amenities and a very nice park next door. The people are very helpful.
The lake is beautiful. Some of the campsites looked like long term sites with a lot of junk around them. This would be a great place to pull an inter tube with a boat. Looked a little sad. It was quiet though.
Great little lake with a beautiful view. Our Verizon Phone picked up well. Loved the hiking trails around the lake. Well maintained. We stayed on site 31, a pullthrough. Two fire pits and a very large area to play areound the camper. Not a lot of campers in the off season. Will definitely be back with kayaks. The other loop had a private swimming spot. How cool is that?
Great place for a quick stop.
Very peaceful place on the Tombigbee River. We enjoyed our stay so much. The campground is so clean. The bathhouses are very nice and well maintained. Perfect spot to put a boat in. The volunteers are helpful. Easy to get in and out of the campground. The spot we stayed on was a pull through on the river side with a large gravel pad for a campfire and a picnic. Nice cement tables.
Our first camping trip. This was the perfect spot. Small campground with big spots. Lots of pull through spots right on the river. So quiet. Nice bathhouses. Will definitely be back. Very nice volunteers.
