There are one or two spots on this road good for camping — it’s surrounded by private property & what looks like newly-developed neighborhoods going up so i’m not sure how long this location will be available to be camped at. Easy spot to get to, as it’s on pretty packed down dirt roads
We stayed here for 3 night in early June & it’s a great spot — easy to find camp spots, even if you get there later in the day. We got there around 7 before sunset and still found a spot every night. Super dry and dusty but that’s desert life, baby!
The coordinates take you to right by the reservoir with one or two spots but if you keep going down the road into the National Forest/Recreation area, (not in towards the reservoir— that road is rough,) there are plenty of spots off the road to camp at. We found a spot to put our tent (right off the road) but still a safe distance away from it and was able to watch and hear this clear blue river while we fell asleep.
Either these are not the correct coordinates, or the trail has been overgrown. We’re car camping here for one night and it’s a lovely spot! Could not find the trail and just pulled off to camp on the side of the road. Dispersed & free & very wooded area!
