if you want to camp and just worry about having fun and not worry about anything else this is the spot! amazing staff and so much fun. whitewater rafting was the best.
we came in during the night and left at sunrise to climb but enjoyed the minimal amount of time we stayed there.
this is a great place to stay for a base camp for Yellowstone, the Tetons and the hot springs. Also campgrounds with showers are a plus.
Loved this place, right on the beach. My children thought they had been brought to a new land. By far one of the best campgrounds we have ever been to. My kids loved the beach!
This made a great 1 night stay. Seems like they had a decent amount to offer. Saw some cabins and yurts. Bathrooms were semi clean, but sites were small.
Nice little campground. Sites are a little uneven for tent camping. Clean beach but very cold water.
Stayed in a yurt at this campground. The showers take tokens. It was a nice set up and base camp for our adventures in the mt St. Helens area.
We went late season and had the place to ourselves. Decent sized sites.
Was only there one night but this was a great little campground that served its purpose.
This little camp ground was great for a two night stay. Lots of hiking near by.
This is a minimalist campground. Know that coming in. Not a lot of trees but nice bathrooms and shower houses. Went over mothers day weekend and it was raining. The plan was to backpack but I opted for the campground not knowing what Mother Nature was going to throw at me. Opted to use my hamock to stay off the wet ground. Turned the picnic shelter into a covered hammock set up. Great little restaurant where I treated myself to a mother’s day Indian taco and bottle of adventurer wine!
This lake has multiple campgrounds spread throughout. It one of the only lakes in Iowa where you can drive your boats fast. Great fireworks show on the 4th of July.
Always full. Floods with lots of rain but still great. No showers.
Great private campground. Lots of trailer sites but the gem is the tent sites down by the river. Very clean and the office was so friendly. Every Friday they do a themed dinner and play a movie.
This is a very small campground. Lots of shade and close to the trails for the caves. Make reservations.
This place fills up! Great campground with restaurant, beach and boat rentals.
This campground has several different parts to it. All next to a large lake. They are all trailer sites but you can put tents on them. It’s first come first serve. There is a park, beach, covered shelter area and showerhouse.
This is a decent state park campground but is always full. It has tent sites separated from the trailer sites. There is a park and on saturdays during the summer they do Disney movies and free popcorn. The lake is good for fishing. They have a beach and volleyball. There is also a biking trail they goes around the lake. It is close to town so if you need anything that is helpful.
This campground worked as it was the busy season but was not ideal. The sites were not on even ground but we made it work. It was in a good location for exploring the park.
