Clean, very widely dispersed camp sites(lots of social distancing trees) especially in loop B (no electricity hookup); loop A sites a little closer but still great and most sites have electricity. Double lane dump station but no full hookups. Very clean restrooms and showers (require a ticket, not open on Mon & Tues). Campground mostly quiet after 8:30pm. Nice little (about 2 miles round trip) hike to Sinkhole. Campground close to several wonderful lakes for fishing, canoes, kayaks and stand up boards.
Great camp sites for pull thru, back in and tents. Several cabins, bathrooms & showers also available, but closed our week (scary virus). Nice, clean, non-heated pool was a plus. Friendly, helpful campsite hosts. Trash pickup 10:30-11:30AM every day. No bears our week. Campground goes dark by 9:00PM. Very friendly folks our week. Creek contained minimal water, but expect it is nice when it’s “running.” 5 min drive to Durango; lots of hikes, drives & activities in the vicinity. Consider driving (carefully) to Ouray, very beautiful views and overlooks. Will return.
Our campsite loop was 50% shaded and unfortunately ours was not. Very clean, especially restrooms! Beware of gusty winds in the afternoons! Camp hosts, Oscar & Laurie were great!
