Highly suggest this campground!

Came here for a geology field trip and the campsite was awesome! We had a group site that was well-able to fit a class of 30 students. We had two grills to make dinner, and we were right near a trail down to the water. Nice and quiet at night and perfect temperature. Toured the dam the next day- and again- awesome. Highly suggest touring the dam if you can then spending the day out at the lake.

Great Campsite!

I camped here for a geology field trip with NAU. The following day we got a tour of the monument which was awesome! I loved the hike in and out. The campsite itself was scenic and quiet.

Awesome place!

Great getaway for those from the valley. The lake is in walking distance with rentable boats and swimming. The site was a drive up, with a table and pit. You can make reservations ahead and we picked a spot away from others so it was super quiet. Perfect temperature to sleep outside or in the tent. Stars are magnificent here.

Nice place to stop on the way somewhere

Campsites are right near one another, but they are rarely packed full so we had space between sites. Otter creek is beautiful and great for long term fishermen’s Trips. There are huge bathrooms and showers, and a store! Loved our stay. Slightly noisy by the road but nighttime was not loud at all.

Breathtaking!

Wow. The drive here wasn’t easy, but once you’re there it is worth it. You are camping right along Kintla Lake where many kayak, swim, etc. There’s a beautiful bridge to walk along or a hiking trail opposite. Bears are present in the area but bear boxes were not necessary, just pack in car. At the time we were there fires were restricted but there are tables and pits for fires.

Beautiful and peaceful!

What a great campground. Every site is tucked away in its own nest of trees. Each site is a great amount of space enough for our two tents. It’s right by the lake where we saw some fishing.

An experience I won’t forget!

We chose site 24, which is in a great location in terms of not being close to other campers and we had enough space for three tents! It’s also beautifully surrounded by aspens. The only reason I gave four stars is because it is near a road to a ranch so during the day huge trucks of cows cast dirt all over the site. It’s close to bathrooms, trash cans, and two beyond beautiful hiking trails. And it is in driving distance to the Cascade Falls trailhead. Not to mention te-ah is only a mile (at most) from Navajo Lake, where you can go to the lodge and rent boats and fish. Highly suggest this campground!
