We were on the way to the KOA across the creek, and saw this place. You can reserve and pay online, but they charged $8 transaction fee. No cash/checks accepted. Quiet overnight, but the road is right there for the am traffic. Level spots, paved, full hookups avail. Quirky aviary on the park.
Got here on a Sunday night, and even though online they were full, they only had a dozen campers. At least 70 spots here, nice tent areas. Dispersed and lots of views. Bathrooms were ok, showers hot, but they were spread out. No generators allowed. Actually allowed pit fires, which surprised us right now. Quiet place, but far from stores or supplies so pack it in. Nice dumping station. All shade comes from eucalyptus trees, which dropped sap on us this morning. Would camp here again definitely.
Redwoods…awesome, but solar panels can’t charge 🙃. Traffic noise from the road can be heard in every site. Showers were adequate and required $1/minute. You can reload your water tank here. Nice and cool/cold at night even in August. Cool in the shade all day.
Basically an upper parking lot for rv’s that are really close together and on pavement. Showers were good and hot but not really clean. Very quiet place midweek. Gate closes at 8pm though, so get here earlier.
