Frequent camper here

We camp at this campground a few times a year. We love the quiet and simplicity of this place. Site 104 is a good sized inner loop site. Everyone knows about hiking Starved Rock, but I recommend the short drive down the road to Matthiessen State Park. Much less crowded with better trails, in my opinion.

Great river front location close to the NP

We stayed 3 nights in the Baby Bear bell tent with our small children and it was perfect. We ended up arriving later than expected and the hosts were wonderful. Very nice and helpful our whole stay. The river front bell tents are where it’s at! You’re a few steps from a small babbling creek. The kids loved wading and catching minnows. Even when it rained, the tent was comfortable and roomy. I can’t say enough great things about how clean the bath and shower houses are! Close enough to Gatlinburg and the National Park entrances, yet far from the crazy crowds. Would definitely return here.

A wonderful family campground

There is so much to do here for small children. Fishing, swimming in outdoor & indoor pools, mini golf, playgrounds, arcade games. They have themed weekends, local Amish baked goods. Small enough to walk around the whole campground yet not overly cramped.

Quiet and Spacious in West Yellowstone

The tall trees and access to Hebgen Lake make this campground a true gem. The hosts were wonderful and the whole campground was quiet and well maintained. Not crowded at all, even during peak Yellowstone tourist season.

Popular campground with amenities and views

N291 was a great site within a great campground. It is far enough away from the busy general store area. Close to the bathhouse but not right next to it where the lights disturb you. There is a large clearing in front of the tent pad with small trails to explore. Ample room to set up our 8 person tent and a separate cooking area under our screen house. We even had some deer trot through our site one evening. The front parking pad has a clear view of Grand Teton. Perfect for families.

One of the better sites

Site 105 is one of the bigger outer loop sites. Behind the tent pad there is a nice trail to the ravine. Lots of tall trees and privacy. During a whole day of very heavy rain, there was minimal flooding. One of my favorite sites here. This campground is always clean and quiet.

Nice inner loop site

Due to limited availability, I was forced to pick an inner loop site and was worried it would be small. This site was plenty big enough for our 8 person tent and a pop up screen house. Ample tree cover and privacy. One day had very heavy rains and the fire ring area did have some minor flooding but the tent pad section stayed drier. This campground is always quiet, well maintained, and never disappoints.
