I stayed at this park because the one in Congaree was full and I’m very glad I did! It took a good 45 minutes to get to Congaree but it was a pleasant drive. I walked on some of the trails in the campground but didn’t touch most of them. I definitely need to come back with a bike! I stayed at tent site 36 and felt like I still had enough privacy from the sites beside me. The bathrooms were well taken care of.
This was my first time staying here and I couldn’t have been more pleased! The current owners purchased the campground a little over a year ago and have made numerous upgrades. All of the bathrooms have been redone, they are opening up more hiking trails on the property, and bad parts of the road have been paved. The staff was more than friedly. We actually left a day early because of a large storm that was about to come through the area and they gave us credit for another day to use when we come back, because we definitely will be. All of the sites on the property were well set up and each had access to water and electric. We were tent camping but there are also sites for campers, and they even have cabins for rent. The hiking trails were clearly marked and had some wonderful views and waterfalls!
