clean restrooms and sites. large campground with paved roads was nice for strolling through. pretty far off the beaten path above lake elsinore. the views near by were fantastic. the staff was fairly friendly and very strict about fires and check out time. the campsites were not too close together but they were smallish. the fire pit was burried in ground so it was practically level, made me nervous about the kids.
the visit was great the campground was large and the plots were all very intresting in space. we had a great spot near some rhnning water to aid in the comfort. being close to silver lake and the pothokes there is plenty to do. bring your charcoal because there are bbq pits and fire pits. Bathrooms had running water but we never needed them. we come prepared and pack out. loved the large trees throughout the campground provided lots of shade. the bear boxes and tables were clean. probably one of the more expensive campsites but it wasnt unreasonable.
with proper funding any campground can be great. This site was riddled with friendly staff and great nearby trailheads to some gorgeous hikes. wish there had been bear boxes at the sites other than the ones for refuse. Some people had recently destroyed the main bathroom by obnoxiously smashing all of the porcelian, leaving campers for 21 spots only two bathrooms to toggle between. Humans are so vile. For larger groups this was not ideal. With proper funding this place could really be a gem.
