Lots to do!

Off grid camping. Lots of trails. Ruins of the old mill. Beautiful lake to kayak or fish. Close to the interstate. Go for the day or a weekend.

Family oriented

Large campground with lots of water front sites. Boat ramp and playground. Clean facilities and lots of shaded sites.

Perfect get away

Beautiful campground. Sparking bathrooms and friendly staff. The ladies at the reservation office are fantastic. The lake is beautiful and the grounds are well maintained. FDR is a great home base for exploring the area.

Right on the water!!!

This campground is a perfect place for a long weekend. Family owned and operated! It's small and the sites are tight BUT get a water front and all that fades away!!! The sunsets are fantastic. There is a fishing pier and small beach. The bath house is sparkling clean and the pool is great! I will be back!

Lots of hiking

Spent a long weekend  . The sites were nice but not kept up very well. The park itself is awesome with all the trails but the campground itself needs some maintenance.

Not too far!

Met some girlfriends for a weekend . Absolutely loved the hike by the falls . The campground is small and compact but neat with nice hosts.

Our go to campground

My whole family has camped here on and off over the past 40 years. Allatoona is our go to Lake and this is a small, quiet, clean campground.  The hosts are friendly and sites are kept clean.

Reminds me of a campground outwest.

By far one of the prettiest campground our state has to offer. With tons of hiking trail, a gorgeous lake , paved roads and sparkling clean facilities. We have camped several times , in the camper and tent.

Very small but nice lake side campground

We enjoyed this off the beaten path state park. Nice , quiet area with the mounds and trails to explore. Super friendly rangers and welcome center staff.

Small but put together well.

We met out of state friends for a long weekend. Had a great time hiking and catching up. The host was friendly and sites were clean.

The perfect campground for base camp. Providence Canyon is very close.

This is a super campground with friendly hosts and fellow campers. Although I do not recommend going in July. It was HOT! No swimming , alligators.  Sites are roomy and super level.

Close to home and always neat and clean

Red Top is a great local campground on Lake Allatoona.  It has plenty of sites although a lot of the water front are tent only. The bath houses are updated and clean. Makes for a great weekend trip.

Perfect Spanish moss covered campground.

We loved the natural setting of this park. We had a mama deer with 2 babies 25 feet from our camper. The people at the gate and office were super friendly as well as super clean bathroom facilities.  I would recommend!

Quiet , family oriented campground.

We absolutely loved this campground. Lots of trails and great creek swimming spots for the dogs. We are planning a trip back late summer so we can enjoy the water. Sites are well maintained and level for my camper. The tent sites are amazing and I may leave my camper home next time.
