Hidden Gem

I love this place! It is a HIDDEN GEM. There are caves, glaciers, alpine lakes, Bristlecone pine trees….it's incredible. It feels like such a secret treasure in Nevada. The stars are amazing at night time! And another highlight…there are barely any people here! It is a quiet place with no crowds. It feels like a more "wilderness" experience for a National Park. It is very beautiful and peaceful. I loved camping here. I am itching to come back!

AMAZING

Wow! I love dispersed camping…especially in Utah. The red cliffs and astounding. It is pretty easy finding a nice place to make home right outside of the park. Most of the roads aren't paved when you leave the highway to find a spot, but I drive a Corolla and it wasn't a problem. Camping out here was an amazing experience. The stars at night are incredible!! I've never seen so many--there's hardly any light pollution. There were a few other people camping nearby but overall it was relatively isolated and quiet which was nice. The park was only a few minutes away and fun to explore during the day. I would highly recommend camping this way here! It's amazing.

Beautiful

I love this area! This is one of my favorite places to camp. When I come here I feel nostalgia from camping here growing up. This campground is near the lake and it is gorgeous! Trees everywhere. There are also some really great hikes nearby and a little general store that has some of the best pie! The campground is beautiful, clean and the stars are brilliant at nighttime.

Awesome!

This campground is awesome!! It is so beautiful. Whatever campsite you are in you are surrounded by the towering red cliffs. There are lots of trees that keep it decently shaded. The river is also flowing right up against the campground. It is awesome-the colors are just astounding. It is also a great location, you are in the center of the park; a short distance walk from the visitor center. It is really, really popular though! You have to book weeks in advance in order to get a site. (There is no chance of walking up and getting a site in the spring/summer).

Great location, pretty

This campground is in a great location in the park and is very close to the South Rim. It is pretty and well kept. It can be very crowded though!

Great location, pretty and very clean.

This campground is in a great location, only about 45 min away from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. It's easily accessible and very pretty. There are some very unique squirrels that prance around and you can hear the bats chirping at nighttime. It is also very clean, the nicest pit toilet I've ever used! The camp hosts are very friendly and do a great job taking care of the place.
