Looks like there are 2 pull off spots here. One was taken by another camper, and I was grateful to snag the second one. Stayed here for 2 nights. It is off a gravel road, but it's not that busy. Pretty view and relatively secluded. Would stay again. The 2ish mile drive up the gravel road to get here was easy enough.

Pretty busy spot - even early on a weekday. I found a pretty pulloff area, but quickly realized it's no good if you rely on cell service, solar and/or starlink due to the tree coverage. Ended up staying for one night. I would recommend if you're looking for somewhere to come and disconnect from the world. Just not over holidays or weekends.

Great secluded dispersed camping. It was obviously meant for folks with horses, but I was the only one there, so there were no horses in sight. The road getting there entailed about 5 miles of bumpy, windy dirt roads. Not totally worth it for a one night stay in a van, but might be for a 4wd car.

There aren't a ton of free camping options near Redmond. This is a great option. Only 2-3 spots for vans/small RVs. The other spots are clearly for tent camping. Would definitely recommend for a few days. I will say the vault toilets are disgusting- so plan accordingly. The hike is a great combination of short and pretty :-)

Essentially a parking lot over a very pretty view. There was a trailer that seemed to be permanently located at one end of the lot, and a local woman stopped by to ask what I was doing there. Wouldn't have stayed for more than a night, but a gorgeous view!

Basically a gravel/dirt lot about 20 minutes outside of Bend. There's a chance I needed to drive further down the road to find better options. Stayed for two nights - no complaints. Near the road but quiet enough. A solid option for a short stay.

I stayed here for two nights, and was the only person there most of the time. The vault toilets, tables and fire pits are a nice addition to this free campground. It's a pretty area. I'd stay here again.

I stayed here for about a week. My spot was a short distance from the water in an attempt to avoid the mosquitoes (didn't really work), but still really serene. It's about a 30 minute drive to stores in Mountain Home. I also appreciated that you're only on non paved roads for about 1/2 mile. Would definitely come back here.

Such a sweet free campground. I didn't use the toilets, but really appreciated the trash service. It's a popular site - so expect lots of other folks there. Also I have mounted solar panels and starlink. Choose your spot carefully if you have either of these. The rock walls and trees will cause obstructions. So pretty to look at, tho!

As described, it's a big field with a bunch of RVs. That being said, if you don't have an off-road capable vehicle (like me) - it's a solid option and there are some pretty mountain views. You can buy the permit online. No one checked the permit for the three days I was there.

Spent one night here. The staff was really friendly and it's a very well maintained camp. The showers and bathrooms were spotless, and the dumpsters were very convenient. I ended up at a full hookup spot that cost $50 a night. I believe there are $30 options available as well. On the pricier side, but worth it. I believe they offer weekly discounts. I'm going to look into this if in the area again.

I loved camping here. Easy enough drive on a dirt road for a couple miles. Really gorgeous area with lots of privacy. I pulled into the first spot I saw with a fire ring, but probably could have gotten closer to the water if I kept driving. A few other campers around, but plenty of space to spread out. The wake boarders made me wish I had a paddleboard or kayak. I left after running out of water, but will definitely be back.

Requires a 2ish mile drive up a mountain road, but my transit van handled it fine. I camped right after memorial day, so there was a good amount of shell casings and broken glass. Sad that people don't clean up after themselves. This spot is really nice otherwise. The fire pits and wild horses are a nice touch.

You have to drive for several miles on some bumpy roads, but my Ford transit handled it fine. There are a couple spots with fire rings before the main trailhead, and then many options if you keep driving. Really beautiful but verrrry windy. My van rocked me to sleep every night. Overall peaceful and pretty. Also there was an adorably stubborn cow blocking the road on my way out. Really added to the ambiance :-)

I stayed here with my pups for three days. The lake is really pretty - it makes the bugs worth it. There were several other campers, but enough room to spread out for total privacy. You simply drive in and find a spot by the lake. It looked like there were some more single spots right as you drive into the lake area - I might try those next time.

I had a great quiet night at this spot. When packing up to leave in the morning, an oil (?) company pickup truck stopped by and asked a few questions. I said I was just heading out - got the sense camping wasn't allowed. Probably best to leave first thing in the morning.
