Very dusty with not a lot of shade very small sites off of the main dirt road. Unfortunately there are no vaulted toilets or flushable toilet only Porta potty‘s. To get to the water it’s a bit of a hike from any camp site. There is a lot of security from the camp staff though which is a nice thing I guess
I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and my dad was a hang glider pilot. The campground has vaulted toilets non-flushable of course. There is water at the campground except during the winter as they shut it off to keep the pipes from bursting. The campground is open up all year round. Fires are allowed depending on regulations from Cal fire. The local store is about a 10 minute drive away and during the summer has ice beer and provides firewood for sale (during winter no ice but plenty of snow). Target shooting is available at the end of the airstrip which you will pass over on the way to the campground. For a boat launch there are two about a 10 minute drive from the campground
Great campground to visit with the family and get away. Fires are allowed most of the year. The campground has coin operated showers and flushable toilets. As well the day use area allows fires in designated fire pits of course. Restaurants and bars are about a 10 to 15 minute drive away. Highly recommended the best campsites are near Cove camp
Right down the street from spuds point. And a short drive to Doran beach. As well your fees here also get you access to Doran beach.
A great campground with camping in the redwoods and near the beach. Showers available with flushable toilet and water next to almost every campsite.
Great place to camp if you want something quiet away from everyone you can use campsite 10 which is on the river and away from everything. Very friendly staff who is throwing a barbecue with live music at the time we arrived. But not sure if it’s worth the price.
Great place to camp. As well a great mixture of large trees and open meadows. Be sure to make reservations though.
Small campground with only a few tables and sites at it with one toilet. Unfortunately a lot of damage was done during the fires. Can get very hot in the summer with limited shade. If you you’re out dirt biking or four wheeling definitely a good pick away from everyone else in the OHV park.
Just a short drive from the main road into the Mendocino National Forest. You don’t need four-wheel-drive to get here. Clean camping that’s paved as well there nice stream next to the campground full of turtles, crawfish and ducks. Be aware that this campground is mainly used by dirtbike riders but not much of a bother. All around a great place to camp as well there are no water or trash services here so be sure to pack in and pack out
A very clean campground but limited space only one vehicle per site all paved. Typically this campground is not open
