This is our new home for the next two years! Visited a few RV Parks in Tucson after accepting a job at the VA here and I must say we feel in love when we stayed here! The staff is friendly, the facilities are clean, and the long term residents are welcoming.
We arrived to the RV Park pretty late and excited to get hooked up and in bed quickly! Once we got parked we realized that the hookups were on the wrong side and we weren’t in a pull through so this was a problem. We hooked up what we could and decided to phone the front office to be relocated to another site the following morning. We called and were repeatedly told that we would have to have Thousand Trails assign us a new spot or we could pay to be relocated. Thousand Trails confirmed that they do not assign spots at RV Parks but the front office staff still insisted and offered to move us for a fee. We ended up driving through the grass and maneuvering around trees and poles to turn our trailer around and things worked out but the tone was set. We didn’t spend much time at the RV Park and won’t be returning. There wasn’t WiFi and the cell reception for Verizon was hit and miss. Almost everyone but us has golf carts they used while inside the park.
Absolutely loved this campground! The staff was amazing, very helpful, thoughtful, and professional. Friendly atmosphere especially the wildlife! Great views of Lake Medina quiet and with all the amenities you’d expect (Free WiFi)! Can’t wait to go back and spend a few weeks there!
Very friendly and helpful staff, close to New Orleans..what more could you ask for? Will be a repeat!
Great RV Park! Free WiFi, cable, clean facilities, and helpful staff.
Great views of the sky at night and very quiet but we were never able to get in touch with anyone from the office. Nice spacious sites but the common areas really need some love. There’s no pool which is a must have in Arizona’s heat. Great Verizon cell signal no WiFi, or could never get in touch with anyone to get a code.
Wonderful resort with great views. Great staff, great long term campers, great amenities! Will definitely go back for another visit!
This trip we stayed down near the welcome center instead of Lot N and the experience didn’t even seem like the same RV Park. No loud music, no barking dog, less dust, and dirt. There was however a train that ran around 3:30am every morning that was a disturbance and my Verizon cell service was nonexistent. There was WiFi for a fee which couldn’t be shared with multiple devices. Overall much better stay than my previous visit.
Stayed at Wilderness Lakes for a weekend and was surprised at how peaceful it was compared to how crowded it was. Other campers and staff were friendly and helpful during our stay. My only complaint is the bugs and duck poop everywhere. We had a spot next to the water which could have contributed to the infestation but at the same time a little more cleaning could also assist. There is no WiFi at this location and my Verizon cell service was choppy.
Stayed for 21 days and had a pretty good experience. My main complaint is loud music and barking dogs late at night and early in the morning. No WIFI and reception for Verizon was hit or miss.
This was my first experience where I felt isolated but it was during COVID-19. No interaction from the staff or tenants. They list that there’s WiFi but I was close to the office and was never able to connect. Overall my stay was ok, nothing to write about.
From initial contact to our departure the staff was very helpful and friendly. The ambiance of this RV Campground is amazing! We were in one of the electric sites but still close enough to hear the river when we had the vents and window open. We well for sure be visiting here again! There are toilets and showers available. They have wagons they rent as cabins which are so cute! WiFi available but weak signal. A majority of the sites are dry camp and on the Kern River while the electric sites are in the middle of the park. They have snacks for sale in the front office and Beverly will gladly provide information about the local area for shopping. Dump station on site. This town has so many cool stores and shops but if relaxing next to the water is your desire, this is the place for you!
Loved this RV Park. The staff was very friendly and helpful as we were first timers with absolutely no experience. We also visited during the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic which made their efforts to ensure we enjoyed our time even more appreciated. Friendly staff and volunteers that are very helpful! Great climbing and hiking with stunning views of the surrounding rock formations.
Amazing views from the hiking trail. Friendly staff and good amenities.
