it’s a lot of fun for the whole family. a fun place to be if you live local. a good place to go if you like to be around other people.
very steep, narrow incline. definitely worth it.
There were steep inclines and narrow trails. but beautiful views. Avoid the area should there be rain due to dangerous flash floods.
Has bathrooms, and fire pits. Go early to get past gate. We got there after 5pm and no one was at the gate entrance. The gate pad was open luckily so we flipped the switch ourselves. make reservations online first. there is a creek nearby that has very light water. The area is very shady and open. No bear boxes. We were able to car camp here. there are people monitoring the area that come once a day in the morning. not crowded at all when I went. Nice weather
I loved this place. Walking distance to the lake. There are docks and a nice convenience store where you can rent boats, canoes, and paddle boats. There is a very nice playground on the lake. Near the playground there is a thrift store. At the playground there are sections to fish at. past the park is a trail head which takes you up and around the lake. There is a general store walking distance from the campground. if you turn out all the lights and look up, you have an incredible view of the stars. Once which I’ve never seen. The staff at the campground are very friendly and go by watering your plants which are located on the sites bench. Would come back again.
There are beautiful views of the mountains. Has bathrooms (no flush). Lots of Mosquitoes and bugs. Well worth it. Has a fire pit at each spot. Has picnic table, but very splintery, bring covers. Most sites have tree coverage.
