Clean, fishing friendly

This place is fairly new, they just built the dam and made the lake a few years ago. The campsites will be nice and shady when the trees get bigger. I only gave it three stars because there is no swimming. There is a place by the day use area where they could make a swimming area, but so far they haven't. The campsites are clean and quite large, and they are all fairly close to the jettys where you can fish. Will go back for fishing only.

Nice clean campground

Nice, clean campground. One of the state parks, so kind of crowded, but still pretty quiet. Plenty of swimming beaches, one near the campground store, which has almost everything you need or forgot. There's two separate sections, and the North campground is not reservable, but it's much quieter. Plenty of fishing here, too.

Very clean, bit crowded.

If you want a spot where the hookups are, go early on Thursday or Friday. It fills up very quickly. The tent sites are off to the side, but plenty of room. Loup PPD takes very good care of this place! A large pond to swim or kayak in, and great fishing in the canal. There is a four wheeler course on the other side, which can get loud, but if you can ignore that, this is a great little place!
