Wonderful resort

This place is incredible. Huge gated property with many different site options. Each site offers a metal table with 4 chairs. Some have playgrounds, private doggy runs, a fireplace, a sky deck, a covered patio, and many other awesome options. There are 2 main community areas. The larger one by the front check in offers a BBQ restaurant, a pool with spa, gym, laundry, putt putt, pickleball court, basketball court, corn hole, playground, indoor rec room with games and pool and other outdoor games. There is also multiple events throughout each day, some for kids, some for family, and some for adults. The second area has a playground, 24 hour laundry, clean bathrooms, a dog wash, and a pool with a spa that is still a very decent size. There are also multiple dog parks and bathrooms throughout the park. Phone service for Verizon and ATT are not good, but they do offer wifi. Very quick check in and quiet neighborhood. Huge property so not all of the spots were filled during our time in May, so we had empty spaces surrounding us. The spaces are not tight at all and very easy to park in. They have curbside trash pickup 24/7, so all you have to do is leave your trash on the curb and you’re good to go! Overall wonderful stay and highly recommend!

Super nice hosts!

Extremely friendly hosts! We went during off season in the middle of December, so the lot was basically completely empty. The owners were super kind and let us pick wherever we wanted to stay. Clean bathrooms and a nice common area with seats and laundry. Good price in comparison to nearby lots. Very close to restaurants and stores. We felt very safe there! Joshua free national park is always nice, but our other favorite local spot is the Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Museum. Great stay!

Best on the beach!

Great spot for right by the water! We did a monthly stay… about $500 less than the campground right next to it. Quiet neighborhood at night, but a lot of families which makes it feel homey. Kids playing and people walking their dogs! More so adults than families in comparison to Campland. They were in the middle of construction during our stay, working on expanding the park which will be wonderful! There’s a path that goes along the bay that is about a mile long, and also a bridge that connects the park to Campland on the Bay. As a resident of mission bay, you will have full access to Campland, without paying the extra $$ to stay, if you don’t mind the walk/drive! Very close access to all of San Diego. Right off of the 5 for easy access. The phone service was non-existent, and the wifi didn’t reach our spot. Apparently after speaking with other residents, it doesn’t really reach most of the park. T mobile, ATT, And Verizon’s phone service all are very poor throughout the park. There is security at the front of the campground to wave every car into it. They are super nice and usually have a fire going at night. Spots are a little small, but you do have a patio. They each come with a patio table and a couple of trees. You will share a trash can with your neighbor, and they will come pick it up for you which is nice! Raccoons do come and will go through it, so make sure it’s closed right! There’s a nice basketball court and clean bathrooms. There is a gated pool and hot tub, we never used it since we just went to the beach / bay. everytime we walked by, it was empty! Overall great stay! Pricey, but if you want to be right in the heart of San Diego and close proximity to the water… it’s definitely one of the more affordable in comparison to nearby spots. Great stay!

Simple and affordable

Simple and affordable RV park. Pretty much the ONLY one we could get ahold of in the phoenix area that isn’t 55+. They are currently renovating the bathrooms and laundry, so we basically only have hookups and no amenities, which is fine for us. There’s plenty of stores nearby. It’s a close enough drive to Phoenix to enjoy the city, but you save quite a bit by staying here as apposed to campgrounds closer. Spots were pretty tight, no privacy. Small concrete area for a patio. It’s a very flat land so leveling was quick. There are a lot of (and looks like most of the park) is long term, and they have mailboxes which is a good option if someone is looking for a longer stay. Overall simple and affordable, priced at $282 for a week in April 2023

Perfect for longer term

We stayed here 2 times, once for about a week, and once for a little over a month. Both times were very pleasant stays! The ladies were extremely nice everytime we spoke with them, and were very accommodating. There is a wall separating the spaces for some privacy and lots of trees! There’s a nice pool and hot tub, laundry open until 9 pm, a beautiful chapel, a workout area with a rec room and some games, and a gorgeous and HUGE area across a small bridge and creek that had some disc golf and allows dogs to be off leash! The bathrooms were very clean! The hot water never ran out on us which was a huge plus. For the monthly stay, our electric only came out to be about $80 which is awesome considering we had something running at all times, including AC and / or heat. There’s a walmart and small shopping center within 5 minutes, a decent amount of fast food places nearby, propane nearby, VERY cheap diesel nearby at Sky Gasoline (the cheapest we had found in all of San Diego county). There’s also a dive bar walking distance called Dons. Overall a wonderful stay and great price!

Must stay!

By far one of our favorite campgrounds! The ladies at the front are always so incredibly sweet! We have stayed here multiple times and plan to come back when we are back in socal. They always help us get the best spot that’s open and allow us to check in early if needed. This is the most peaceful campground we have stayed in yet, with each full hookup spot being super private surrounded by trees. They also have non hookup and tent camping, which all have such beautiful views. You will have a metal picnic table and a fire ring. (Metal picnic table is a plus, because a lot of campsites provide a plastic one that you can’t grill on). There are so many trails to explore with signs throughout, and even just walking through the campground with our pups was beautiful. Definitely the most gorgeous sunsets! Could not recommend this place more. 10/5 stars EASY.

A must stay in the desert!

Such a wonderful spot in the middle of the desert! Has a large pool and big hot tub all inside of a solid wall to prevent sand from blowing inside. Each spot is surrounded by trees which is very rare to find in the desert! It makes each spot private and helps hugely with keeping wind from blowing dirt into your spot. Very affordable as well! Debra at the front was just the sweetest thing… helped us find a perfect spot, gave us multiple brochures and mapped out local spots that we should check out. Borrego springs is about 25 minutes away. Phone service is spotty for ATT and Tmobile, but you’ll have better service at the front of the campground. Overall a very peaceful stay with lots of stars at night!
