We stumbled on this resort because they were on the Passport America list. They are NO longer a passport America park as they are under new ownership. Nice large campsites, beautiful swimming area and cute little store and breakfast restaurant! Beautiful star-y skies and lots of deer at night!!! No fire ring at the site, there are picnic tables and we had a full hookup site! Staff was super friendly. Dog friendly!
We stayed her because we needed to be in Spokane for a few days! This is not camping! This is a place to park and rest! The pictures on the website are dated. The spots are very close together, no privacy at all. The dog area is not central…it’s basically out by the road! It seemed that the majority off the spots were people who live at the RV Park. The staff was nice!
We have stayed at Chief Thimothy quite a few times. It doesn’t seem as well kept as other parks we like! The grass is blotchy, so if there’s rain, there’s mud…no rain, lots of dust and dirt! Easy access to the river with little docks along the shore. Swimming area available, too! Bathrooms, laundry, and full hookups all available. Dog friendly!
This State Campground is very close to the highway, so it is very convenient! Some reviews mentioned noise from the highways on each side, but we couldn’t here road noise in the RV with the air conditioning on!!!! The RV spots are very big with a little privacy! Lots of area to walk, and a nice, well maintained swimming beach where you can watch the windsurfers! Dog friendly, too!
This is a beautiful, very well maintained park. Park is literally right off of I-90 near Vantage! RV spots don’t have much privacy, but the spots are huge! Full hookups, good cell phone coverage! Nice swimming area(kind of a walk from RV spaces). Every time we have stayed here it has been pretty windy….we are still drawn back, tho!
