Nice, safe campsite

Stopped here during a road trip with a friend. Very family friendly. Tent sites were nice and flat, felt a little cramped though. Bathrooms were clean. The lake was very nice, clear, and refreshing. Flet good to be close to it! Easy to find the campsites and pretty affordable.

overnight stay

stayed for one night during a road trip with a friend. We're both females and felt safe. Tent sites were pretty big and flat. We didn't go in the lake, the water was pretty stagnant and didn't feel refreshing. The bathrooms were okay, I didn't take a shower, but they seemed clean. Sunset by the lake was really beautiful! Rangers/staff were very nice and helpful too.

Great amenities, close to yellowstone west entrance

Very clean campground, lots of amenities. Showers were very clean. Tent sites are a little bit cramped but it was okay. Felt safe from both people and animals.

I think the other KOA close by has more food options, but i liked this one just fine.

Cool area!

We stayed overnight at the fortress cliff campground. We missed the campground sign so be on the lookout for it. There are two port a potties. Not very clean tbh. Great views but HUGE bugs so bring bug spray, bug zapper, etc. we heard coyotes howl all night. Went with a friend - felt safe as two single women.

Great views/ clean bathroom

Great flat spot within badlands. The bathroom was really clean and there a prairie dogs everywhere! We saw a bison in the morning as well.

We were going to explore the backcountry but saw a rattlesnake eating a prairie dog which put us off. Be careful if you leave the campground!

Road to site was a little rough but my Honda hrv was fine. Safe camprground for two women.
