Tight spots in a camp right against what looks like a school yard. Everyone had ATV’s so I expect if you want to go off-roading this probably perfect for you.
Absolutely gorgeous campsite surrounded by fantastic old towns and hikes. This is a must-stay that we will definitely return to. There aren’t sewage hookups, but an easy to use dump station as you exit.
This place is fine. Lots of room for kids to run around, lots of green grass, some “playground” areas. Pricey. Hookups are oddly located and the spots are tight. No masks whatsoever which—given it’s Labor Day and everyone is criss-crossing the country—was pretty scary. Also had an odd experience trying to book our site…when we first called they told us it was booked up. I called again and suddenly there was availability. Park was about half full.
We stayed here when we first bought our RV. The staff was so friendly and the surroundings fairly peaceful and wooded. This isn’t fancy, and there are quite a few long-timers, but it was as expected.
We only spent a night—and we came in late—but this KOA left an impression. We wanted to build a fire so they left a cord of wood—and the place seemed well maintained and a great respite from the road.
We spent about a month at the Tra-Tel and found the grounds well kept, the staff very friendly, the rates reasonable, and the location ideal. We’d definitely stay here again if coming through.
