Quiet spot in the valley

Still a bit of a mess after the flooding and no staff. Very scenic and beautiful though. Sites are not very level so come prepared.

Cute quiet Rv park a few miles outside of the nationa Forrest

Owner is great and park is well kept with a good amount of space between sites. Laundry room only has small washers and 3 out of 4 were broken when we got here.

Beautiful lake site for FREE

Easy access, gravel road in a class a or lower vehicle can travel on without a worry. Beautiful view of the sunset over the mountains on one side and the sunrise over the mountains on the other.

Run down

This is one of the more rundown campgrounds that we have stayed at and it needs a lot of work.

Okay as KOA goes

It’s a pretty decent park but compared to other KOA parks is just alright

Why pay to camp?

Not sure why so many people spend $70 a night when they have the ability to go hook up free. Got free water at the local gas station pulled out here absolutely no money for the next few days

Beautiful location just outside of big bend

Stunning location with full hook ups and the option to Boondock for a little bit less per night if you have the ability. The owner is very friendly and the park is very well-maintained.

Peaceful and safe

This is a wonderful dispersed campground in a national rest/park area on the hill with close access to the highway.

Amazing experience

We drove our 32ft class C (with tow dolly attached) on the beach without any issue getting in or out, and we saw multiple 2 wheel drive vehicles drive allllll the way down the beach. The sand is compact basically all the way throughout the entire beach. The weather was cloudy when we were there but the potential for a beautiful sunrise on the beach is there. There weren’t a lot of people on the beach during the week, but the weekend was slammed with all sorts of trucks and cars parked on the beach. Some small businesses drove by selling goods from their vehicles, like ice cream trucks and flags.

Oh! And you know the scenes in movies where they have a campfire on the beach? But no beach ever allows a campfire? They allow them here!

Beautiful hidden getaway

The hosts were very communicative, friendly and helpful! The property is secluded, spacious, and covered with a beautiful live oak tree canopy. Our fur babies were welcome! This property is off of a washboard road and a very dumpy dirt road, and accessible to all travelers except Class A RVs. The turn on to the property is a little tight but manageable.

It’s okay

Just a corporation with an RV park. Nothing special and a bit overpriced for the location.
