Had the best time at Big Lake, AZ. First off though, reserve a camp site on-line. I didn’t but got lucky because we arrived on a Thursday. The scenery is beautiful. The weather was beautiful and the fishing was good.
So if you are looking for a Full Hookup RV parking / camping spot with no thrills other than being 10 minutes from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, this camping spot is for you. But be advised, it’s expensive ($70 per night) and they really jam you in tight with other campers. There are no open fires allowed. The bathrooms are super clean.
This is a perfect spot if you’re traveling on I17 and looking for a place with great views, easy access and simple. We were traveling to the Grand Canyon for the weekend and looking for a spot to spend the night half way to our destination. It’s definitely boondock camping.
This is a great campground. It’s perfectly suited as a site that takes little time to get too, and yields tons of star gazing, hiking and camping fun. You can use a primitive site and get a feel for boon-docking, or take advantage of the super clean showers and bathrooms near the more established camping site. We fully recommend this camping location.
This is a great campground for RV hookup. If you’re looking for a great value this is the place. Anne takes a little to get used to, but has a huge heart and takes care of her tenants. I fully recommend this this site.
If you want to enjoy some time away from it all, head here. Also, on the West side of the mountains there are excellent sites with views from the Lion King. Bring water and sun block and enjoy.
This is a great campsite for tent or campers. It has great access to the lake and the fish are almost always biting. Bring the kids bikes so they can explore a bit and enjoy the sunsets.
