We had a tent space right next to the river. Beautiful spot. But the train goes by 2 or 3 times a night. The bathrooms/showers are some of the cleanest campsite bathrooms I've seen. The host/employee(?)was fairly rude, said we had to park our trailer on the road outside the property….yeah right, thats not gonna happen. They didn't bother us about it being down by our tent. The rafts would put in and take out right next to our spot, which was kinda weird, but not bad.
Nice sites. A lot of long term residents. Wildlife right outside our door every morning.
Easy park to get to, right off hwy 115, in Colorado Springs. The camp sites are decent. Tent, drive in, walk in drive through sites.
5 minute drive to restraunts and stores. Quiet campground. Clean. Well maintained group areas/picnic areas. Only DoD ID card holders can use it, so there is not as much noise and partiers.
A lot of miles of hiking/ biking trails. Rv camp sites are close together, but well maintained. I'll be back.
Quiet and clean. Enough space to feel isolated, but close enough to the city you dont have to worry about forgetting the essentials.
