Beautiful Camping on Shaver Lake

Plenty of campsites, must reserve in advance due to being popular. Easy walk to lakeside and boat ramp. Nice picnic area near lake. Camped with full hookups. Nice store and hospitality center with food, drinks and stock of camp supplies.

Quick Stay in Redwoods

Thought we’d try this place to explore area. The owner was very nice setting up reservation. They only take cash, no online reservation payments. When we arrived someone else was setup in our reserved sight, it was a hassle waiting for them to breakdown camp and move ( I was willing to take another site but all they offered me was a site with water, no hookups & no discount). We made it work. Same thought of other reviewer, sites are close together and seems like your camping in someones backyard. The pool area is nice with small playground.

The Best Place to Camp at Tahoe

Always enjoy our time here. Campsites are wide and the place is clean and well cared for by staff. Close to shopping and beach. Bathrooms are clean with pay showers.

Nice Family Camp

Stayed here in May. Old KOA campground has been redone. Very clean and making improvements. Lots of activities for kids (pool, horseshoes, playground). East side of CG seems to accommodate more for families with kids while west side is better for RVs. Most RV sites have full hookups and are pull throughs. Drove up to Lake Alpine with snow on the ground.

Great Sand Dunes and Beach

Stayed hear in June. Weather was beautiful. Campground is in the trees and a short drive to the beach. Use the beach access in the campground…. too crowded if you try to get to the beach on the main highway. Bathrooms are maintained with pay showers($1 for 3 mins), limited groceries close by. Very crowded on the week ends. Campground is spaced out. No hookups, just basic camping for both RVs and tents.

Nice Family Campground

Close to the ocean at Jenner. Campground is next to the Russian River. Family activities and games for kids (playground, volleyball). Some shaded site, a mix of sunny locations and partial shade. Full RV hook ups and tent sites. River access for swimming & boating. No sandy beach.

Great Family Campground - First Come First Served

No reservations so its first come, first served here. Most campsite are level, wide and spaced-out. About a 1/4 mile walk or drive to Pinecrest Lake. Store has food, ice, drinks close by. Steam Donkey bar and restaurant next to store.

A great spot to get relief from main Pinecrest CG crowds. Have camped here for more than 30 years, first come first served basis. Nice wide open site for RVs and tents. Bathrooms have toilets and sinks. Showers are pay token next to Pinecrest store.

The store, post office, bar and restaurant is 1/4 mile down Pinecrest road. Gets crowded on the weekends in summer.

This campground is less crowded than main CG. Cash only with CG host. ($23.00 per night, accepts senior and handicap discounts)
