Great for long term or seasonal

Lots of run down RV’s and shanty town in the back of the park. More long term renters than weekend warriors. One dump station, no sewage on the sites. One bathroom, for the whole Park. lots of tents sites (that were busy) makes for poor bathrooms. Not to mention its outhouse style with no climate control. 1/3 men’s bathrooms were out of order and 1/3 urinals were too. 2/3 showers where out of order and the two useable toilets, the door locks were broken. No wifi. Fires are allowed. Fire pits are run down so be mindful. 2/5 bars for ATT services. Sites aren’t labeled or labeled extremely bad. Electrical seems very out dated. Make sure you have protection. Over priced at $60 + tax for the night. Scattered shade. Pull through sites mainly. Picnic tables have seen better days (years more like it). Good space between sites and access to the river for water sports. Little lake for fishing. No pet area and strict leash laws. I wanna give this a 2/5 because they were pleasant. They encouraged me to review on multiple sites but I think that would be bad for them so I’ll stick to my main review site. 1/5, if the price was better like 30-40/night maybe 2/5 but for the price of a motel 6 and only electrical and that is sketchy. Save your money book elsewhere or avoid.

Last minute

Rest stops leading up to this RV spot were under construction. This was a last minute decision. It was late and I didn’t want to drive in the dark anymore. The price is HIGH. With discounts for goodsam and loves connect it was $50/night for 30 amp. The dog park at this loves is very nice and the spaces are okay. But it’s loud all night because it’s a truck stop. I like the idea of this for loves but the price needs to reflect it. $25/night. No one is staying longer than that and it’s a better deal.

In a pinch

This campground is very spacious. Wide open areas near campsites. It has a fenced in dog run that is great for big dogs. The holes are a little large for my 10lbs pup. The team is very helpful. Now for the flaws, one bathroom per sex for all 150+ camp spaces. One toilet for each gender and one shower. You need to be pretty self sufficient in your RV for this campground. Spaces to park are level and spacious was able to back in on complete dark with no issues. WiFi is spotty. ATT is one bar for the campsite. Over all nice, but little too pricey for what is offered. I showered at planet fitness due to the facilities.

Car was stolen over night

I stayed at this location a few times the last time I stayed they forcibly broke into my car and stole it. Abandoning me in my travel trailer. No one from the park reached out to me. In fact I had to go to them to ask them to give police the video from the night. Several cars were broke into as well. In addition, they did not offer to contact surrounding campsites tenants for additional video. Since they are severally lacking in surveillance. So I had to go around to every camper and ask. In addition the police will not show up in the area they will text you. Point is if you value belongings don’t pay 60-90/night to have your stuff stolen. Speaking to long term tenants it’s been a problem. Also the bathrooms never have soap and they are from the 70’s a trash rv park. All the spots are paved and some how not level.

Weekend camping

Go past about a 1/4 a mile where you gps tells you to turn and you will see the entire campsite from the road before you turn. Very close to the road, and a strip mine? lots of noise. Site is not level but has electric. I did not see a Dump area, but potable water by each bathroom. Dumpsters to throw trash in at the entrance. Sites are very close, see photos. Reservoir has restrictions because of power plant (no water activities of any kind). No walkable hikes or trials. The price is very high for a rv park style camping. $50/night plus parking?!?!? So $60/night, without water and pretty much a generic RV park style setup. Also a fire ban so can’t even use the ring provided. Some sites are a little better but not much. Do not recommend, better options in the area. 1bar for ATT service. 2 stars because of electric.

Weekday stay summer

Semi-dispersed. My site GP153 is not level. Need level blocks! Entrance right to the lake for water sports. Easy hiking trial to loop the lake at your campsite. Fire ring was allowed even with high fire warning and fire bans south in CO.

Summer stay

We stayed at site 7, big enough for our caravan of 3 campers. Very spacious! Great views and nice center fire pit!

Great for short (1 night stay or long term month or more)

I stayed a month, owner super responsive and easy to pay. All pull through sites, limited number.

Update

$20/night cash or check for off season first come first serve. You can reserve and pay electronically “on” season. I got an rv spot (last in upper loop) but a few tent spots open while searching. Also a few more spots opened in lower loop as I was unloading. Came to check out new rock climbing routes. Before the “season” here starts. Spaces are spaced nicely. Bear signs posted so be mindful of food and trash left out. It is Wyoming so very windy but sunny.

Great visit

Easy to find. Roads in area great, but be careful driving in on paved road big dips and a speed limit of 50mph can mess your rig up! I seen a boat docking site to the left before camping. Two Loops that multiple car tents could post up, do not know if that’s allowed but seen while visiting. They there is parking and tables for 3 tent sites or truck campers. Then 5-ish sites for RV and trailers. I was in the last one and loved it. Right on river lots of chip munks! Hawks spotted of you have small dogs.
