I've visited here 2 years in a row, 2021 and 2022. It seems to be pretty popular as it was very diffecult to find a secluded camp area.
I'm here in the height of snowbird season and the area is pretty empty, although the friendly camp host said there are hundreds en route, a women's camp group, ham radio operator group, and some other group whom I've forgotten. Nothing too spectacular for desert camping, mostly flat, a few dry stream beds. Ok internet reception.
A well managed, well-kept park. Plenty of 50-amp sites, which usually means BIG rigs, are all back-in. The mature date palms and tight sites makes parking and manuevering diffecult for big rigs. Very lively community; lots of people out, kid playing. Proximity to Interstate 10 and railroad tracks makes it a bit noisy. But, it's NOT too bad. Plenty of TV stations along with 5G cell service. It's not in the rules so, I believe I'm allowed to wash my rig.
Limited 30/50 amp full-hookups. Large rigs, beware. access roads are narrow, hilly, AND curvy. But, it CAN be done. Coming in from the south on Hwy 79 (the only road in) warns that 40' vehicles and longer, are prohibited. But, you can make it to the camp. The entrance is a hair-pin turn (from the south) and you'll need to go a little further north to turn around.
