No there there.

One FS potty. That's it. No designated sites. Just a dirt road meandering between a creek and the highway. No potable water. Only one place with reasonable creek access. A very weird plywood covered "bridge" across the creek. Probably unsafe to walk across.

The only ones there....

Troutdale is a small, roadside and riverside campground along the Boise River. Picnic tables and a FS potty are the only services. No water pump. What it lacks in amenities, it makes up for in a beautiful setting by the river. There's a small beach to make excellent river access. And the cliff/hill across the river affords wonderful shade in the later afternoon/evening.

Camp Hosts are your best resource

While doing Adventure Cycling's Idaho Hot Springs Mountain Bike Route, my buddy and I came into Featherville pooped and worn out from the Phifer Creek hill. It was summer Friday evening. The only motel was full. Every dispersed camping site was chock full of RVs. The campgrounds along the river were all full. Finally, we saw the camp hosts at Chaparral. They took pity on us and helped in a myriad of ways. 3 Cheers for camp hosts Amy and Paul!
