Small, clean

A small campground right on Beaver Dam Lake. There's a boat launch but no beach. Bathrooms have showers and are very clean. It's not a bad spot for a weekend fishing trip.

Small, suburban campground

The campground sits on a terminal moraine about 100 ft above the Mukwonago River valley. About half of the campsites sit on level ground, the rest are located halfway up the hill. The sites are large, spaced out, and the campground is generally quiet. Electricity has been added this year. It's a pretty decent campground for a quick overnight trip.

Kind of small

The campground is small, but very nice. There are trails all over the bluff, and the view from the top is very cool. You can swim at the nearby Castle Rock Lake.

Family friendly

My family, along with a couple other families, used to camp here for a week every year when we were kids. There are 2 beaches, trails, beautiful wooded sites, and the lakes water is as clear as advertised. You will need to reserve your site 11 months in advance because it fills up fast. If you have a lot of people there are no group sites but there are some double sites that work great. Bring your boat to fish and ski.
