Nice family campground overall, but really geared toward the 8 and under crowd. Had a back in gravel site that was difficult to back into and sloped back. I had to nearly lower my tongue to the ground to get it level.
The splash park was fun, even for the teen kids, but the pool was tiny and shallow and disappointing. Nice camp store with all the necessities plus ice cream by the scoop and slushies. A food trailer operates in the lot at some hours.
We'd consider staying again.
A very large campground with tent and rv camping. Gets very busy.
Great location! Situated adjacent to Iron Vengeance roller coaster and across the parking lot from the water park. You can see the coasters and hear the screams from your rig!
Great value as your stay gets you in Cedar Point an hour early.
You are right on Lake Erie and the sites are RV only on level concrete pads and no fire pits. There is a camp store that is open late and sells beer, wine, snacks and other camp essentials.
I live about 30 minutes from this campground and love it! Clean, quiet and cheap! Launch your canoes or kayaks from the campground, or book a trip from nearby White River Canoe Company and they'll pick you up. Across a historic river bridge from a huge county park with walking/biking/equestrian trails.
I have stayed in both tent and rv sites, and they are clean and level.
