Cool spot but so loud!

We enjoyed our visit here other than the fact that it was so loud all the time. It makes sense due to the fact that's it's a off-road vehicles paradise! We just hadn't considered the volume. Cool place though. Sand dunes right on the beach. As far as the eye can see! Dogs are welcome here which is why we chose this spot. If we bring dirt bikes next time we will definitely stay here again!

So close to Hood River!

We love it out here. This last visit was for a mtn bike race. We stayed here as most all other campsites and campgrounds were full. Beautiful spot near Mount Hood. Not a ton of privacy from other campers so we spent the weekend racing the local trail system and also spent some time exploring the Kingsley Reservoir.

Nice spot a little ways off the highway.

We had a good experience staying here. Stayed one night in our way to ride mtn bikes near Mt Hood. We felt safe here. The camp hosts were a nice older couple. It was a beautiful setting with big trees over head and the river just in the other side of the campground from our site. Our dogs enjoyed running in the grass here. We will stop again!

Quiet simple and easy.

Basically this is a huge parking lot with a bathroom. It's surrounded by some areas were you can find spots in the dirt if you prefer. Even though it was June and super dusty we still managed to find a patch or two of snow while riding the mtn bike trails that begin at the end of the snow park. We like it here because there is never anyone out here after dark. The parking lot can get fairly busy with mtn bikers during the day as this is a popular spot.

Wow! You're really out there!

What a gorgeous campground out in the middle of no where!! We stayed here for a 3 day staged mtn bike race. What an amazing time! There are about10 campsites. All pretty private with fire pits and picnic tables. The campsites are rogjt on the lake. And what a lake!! great for paddle boarding and fishing! We also took a dip to clean up and it was super refreshing. Lots of mtn biking and hiking out here. Bring all your energy and plenty of supplies!

Gorgeous Lake! Geese everywhere!

This was an awesome sleepy little campground. Campsites surround the lake. There is quite a lot of privacy considering there are not many trees. Toilets are close to each campsite and they are very clean. We stayed here in October. Let's just say the sunset was spectacular!!

Nice State Park Camp Ground

This stay was nice and easy. Spots are close but for the most part have a sufficient buffer for privacy. We didn't have any neighbors with was great. Bathrooms were clean. We walked up and down the beach the majority of our stay. Even though the beach is cold in November it was beautiful!

Rogue River

We stopped for the night on our way through during a work trip. We stayed in our van wick makes everything nice and easy. To our surprise we fished in the evening and in the morning without seeing anyone else. Nice quiet spots along the river. Most have camp fire rings. The Rogue River is beautiful we will be back!

I love Winthrop

The Chewuch river is crystal clear. We love staying out here. Quiet campground with easy access to the river. Usually you can fish here but this year there was a strict no fishing rule. We still enjoyed the stay. Hot and dry. Super smoky this time of year from surrounding forest fires. No fires allowed this time of year either!

Horse camp but we brought bikes.

This is a nice little horse camp with several sites and corals. We came for a mtn bike race but we're comfortable anyways. Each spot is large and quite private. The sites are nice and close to a creek which was nice since it was hot. Our site had a fire pit and a picnic bench. We camped in our van. Beautiful spot and pretty quiet event though it is nice and close to town!

You really feel like your out there!

A friend and I hiked in to spend 4th of July weekend. It was so nice and quiet. The hike was easy. We saw bear and cougar prints on our way. Large camp area for big enough for a group of people. I'll totally go back!

Amazing ocean view

We arrived really late and the campground was unfortunately full. It was 11pm so we drove around anyway. Lucky for us someone with reservations didn't show so we got an amazing spot with a fantastic view of the ocean. Spots are close together but have natural barriers in between them. Our site had a fire ring and a picnic bench. The beach is clean and fantastic for walking our dogs. My only complaint was that the camp hoast was fairly rude. Other than that we loved it.

I've never seen water so blue!

This lake is rumored to have healing abilititys. I just love it because it's insanely beautiful!!! The campground is cute but super busy during peak season so try for an off season adventure like we did!

It's so beautiful here!

I can completely forgive the apartment style camping here. The sites are big with privacy and many of them have views of the ocean. Our site did!! So pretty. Lots of beach exploring during the day. And awesome campfires are night. Watch out there are lots of hungry raccoons!

Nice campsite and tons of exploring!

We stayed here because it's the perfect base camp for our mtn bike ride. This spot was super clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable including nice bathrooms! I would encourage anyone to stay here!

Easy to get to and close to the River!

This spot is nice and easy since it's just off of I90. The Columbia river is beautiful and the best part of this spot. Not much privacy and right next to the freeway but we always feel safe here.

Beautiful any time of the year!

We stay here in the winter often. The campground is clean quiet and right next to the beach. If you love the sound of the waves you will sleep well here! Our dogs love to run up and down the beaches!

Awesome spot right off the bay!

thisnis a beautiful campground nestled right along the bay. There is a play ground ,covered picnic area , stage and of course walk the trails along and down to the beach or hit one of the amazing mountain bike trails. We see starfish on the rocks some times. This is an amazing spot for sunsets! The campsite is nice and the spots are fairly private but beware there is a train that rolls right next to the campground all night long!

Mtn top lake!

We stay here often. Easy to drive up to. Any vehicle will do. Dirt road to the top where you will find a lovely little lake with 4-5 camp spots surrounding it. We always catch lots of brooke and rainbow trout and wild life is everywhere! There is a outhouse bathroom but you are on you're own otherwise!

Amazing sandy beaches

We've stayed here a few times. Needless to say we love it. Very quiet and comfortable right next to the beach. Our dogs love it here!
