We spent last Sunday-Thursday at Reunion Lake RV Resort and we really enjoyed it! We missed the big crowds and pretty much had the place to ourselves. Only negative was that the bar didn’t open til 3pm, and they only did kayaking 2 days since they were technically not yet on their summer schedule. There was not a whole lot of staff but that’s okay, since they didn’t mess with us about bringing our own drinks. I’m sure it will be a completely different experience the rest of the summer though! If it weren’t so far we would definitely be back this summer!
Very nice and clean campground. New sites. Clean well maintained beach. Ice machine on grounds. Officers and WLF patrolling. Felt very safe for kids besides the gator we camped by. However they were in the process of capturing and relocating. Definitely will return!
Went for Father’s Day weekend. Apparently they just reopened after hurricane Laura which was 10 months ago. It still was not completely cleaned up, and still had yellow caution tape on buildings. Bath houses are ran down, funky, and barely operable. I didn’t feel comfortable letting my kids roam the campground. Our site was kind of on a hill, and camper sat funny. If we go back it won’t be to the B side.
Had such a great and relaxing time! Rented the kayak for an hour multi times. Water is cold and refreshing. The property is remarkably clean and well kept! Always a worker around to help! We made friends with everyone! Love this gem!
Close to home so we visit often. Very nice bathroom facilities. On the Red River but no swimming unless you have a boat, lock thru, and hit the sandbars. We like to let the kids kayak in the oxbow at the landing. Nice place to go for a short weekend trip to get out the house and on the water!
This is one of the nicer ones. We have been 3 summers and have always enjoyed it. Movie theater, small game room, tiki bar, lots of activities and play areas for the kids, and the pools are nice. Fishing in the ponds is fun but don’t expect too much as they are very small. Weekends are very crowded and drinks are expensive but it’s always a great time.
We stayed for 6 nights and absolutely loved everything about it. It was quiet and serene, the red stag deer were amazing, and we loved the large pool! Bug patrol kept the ants out except for one day after it rained the night before and they couldn’t seem to keep up. Our site was at the back, kinda far from the pool, and even though we were promised a golf cart we never got one and had to drive our own vehicle to park outside the park. We did have flies and horse flies but nothing we couldn’t handle with a fly swatter. They have tiki tubing available but the busses were down, so we drove ourselves about 10-15 minutes up the road. We will definitely be back when life gets back to normal.
