Hi, Jeremy here! I’m a photographer and travel in a 23’ Airstream Flying Cloud

Overpriced ⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you’re looking for some water access this place is decent. It's a fairly nice park, however it's dense and feels crowded. Seems like there are quite a bit of long term campers here. There is nice access to water off the pier and seating is available on the their private beach. Not much room to explore other than inside loop of the park but for overnight water access in a pinch its worth the experience. Our pad was elevated and easy to get in and out. Full hook ups and pretty clean facilities. Lots of children running around , mopeds etc. The trash on the morning we left was over flowing in the dumpste. In a jam we would consider staying again.

Wifi - Yes

ATT - Yes

Clean, convenient, and fairly quite ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Grayton Beach is conveniently located right off 30A. It's really a convenient location to retail and grocery shopping while still offering seclusion. Check in was quick and easy requiring me to quickly pull the side after entry and pickup my parking pass and directions. The Park staff was friendly and polite and my first impression upon entry was that Florida takes pride in their parks.

This was my first trip to Florida in the Airstream as well as to a Florida State Park. When booking I wasn't aware that Grayton is one of many highly desirable parks that require booking 11 months in advance! As luck would have it I booked July 11th for a night on the July 17th. During the trip I had to bounce around a bit from park to park to complete the trip because of the short notice. If you are flexible and don't mind moving around I found you can make it work.

The Pad was 37 located on a corner surrounded by nice foliage. The turning radius and parking associated with this campsite is limited. Visitors with larger camping units may have difficulty maneuvering units into the campsite due to the limited turning radius at the site. My rig is 42' in length and I had no issues with the turning radius. Pad spacing is decent and I never felt cramped. Once setup I disconnected the truck and parked off to the side of the lot. Hookups are well maintained. Sewer is level with ground so there wasn't a need to to hook up the Camco Sewer Hose Support.

Site 37 is located directly in front of the bath house which is just a short walk down a wooded path.

Beach access is a short walk or bike ride. I really enjoyed the privacy and of course the white sand and emerald water. Destin is acclaimed for having some of the whitest sand on earth because the primary ingredient is white quartz crystal that was sheared off the ancient Appalachian Mountains by glaciers during the last great Ice Age. They washed into the gulf and were ground down by wave action over the many millennia into a white powder that’s so fine it squeaks when you rub your feet upon the surface of the beach.

I paid $40.03 for one day which is a steal for this kind of experience. Florida does a wonderful job with their parks. If I can find a spot next year we plan to visit again.

Henderson Beach was my absolute favorite campsite on vacation in Florida this year (2020)

Friendly staff and a very well maintained Park made the trip enjoyable.

I booked on July 11th 2020 to stay on July 19th 2020. Part of my experience this trip was bouncing around to a few parks to fill our week because of the short notice and lack of availability due to the increase in travelers. I lucked out and found one night available for $40.15 - It's no wonder these parks book out 11 month in advance.

Pad 13 is a roomy site surrounded by lush foliage and trees. Included on my site was a nice picnic table, fire pit and clothes line. Loop is was fairly close to the entrance and just a short bicycle ride to the beach. The roads and the sites are very nice and well maintained. The staff rakes each site before the next visitor. The bath house was equally clean and as luck would have it just a short walk from our site. I discovered on the day of departure that there was a nice bridge located at the bathhouse that takes you directly to the beach. The previous day I had ridden the bike around the loop which took a few minutes.

Site hookups - Water & Electric

Dumpsite is on the main road in and was quick and easy to drop a load and leave!

WIFI - NO

ATT signal was decent at times. Not enough to stream.

For the price of 10 lattes you can't beat Henderson Park!

Convienient , quiet and clean ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mt. View was conveniently located right off the exit in Van Horn. Best option of the three options in this area. The desert night was cool and it I had a feeling it was going to be a perfect night to get some rest with the windows open. I pulled in and stopped at the front office. They were closed so I picked up a form which I would turn in the next morning. There seemed to be an abundance of pads available which was a nice surprise. I found a nice corner spot next to a shady hickory tree. The lot is very well maintained. Each pad had a nice light, 30 and 50 amp with water and sewer. I especially appreciated that the sewer line sat just above the ground which made dumping a breeze. I later ended up picking up a Camco 20'ft Sidewinder Sewer Hose support which I’ve found take stress off the release outlet. Overall my stay was quite nice and I definitely would stay again if in the area. The staff was friendly and the showers were clean. However the shower stalls could use some updating. Nice laundry facilities available and it appears they are adding a few more amenities in the future. My stay cost me $50. Cell service was great as well. Nice access of I-10 great overnight spot.

Favorite Spot In Tennessee ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My second time visiting PRRR. I've stayed three times since this review. I stayed up the hill on a corner lot during the 4th of July. It was my first time and it was a wonderful experience. I had plenty of space to roam around in the river even while visiting during a peak time. So naturally I booked again and ended up snagging a beautiful riverside location at pad #9 The park owner Casey and Grounds manager Mike are the best and so gracious. I had a wonderful time exploring the property. Full hooks ups and a level pad made setup a breeze. Allen the park host even guided us in our spot and gave assistance getting back in. They do a great job keeping the grounds clean and well manicured. I love this spot and it will be a regular stop here in Tennessee. Some of the best access to the Piney right here. Highly recommend!
