Roy is the host with the most!

We weren’t happy with our initial site (33) because it felt like a pull off on the side of the road with minimal space. Roy our host quickly remedied the situation by helping us switch campsites to a more spacious option (8).

Fire wood available for purchase, generous package of 1.6 cubic feet, best bang for your buck.

Flat surface, with good table.

A bit close to the road, with not a ton of privacy.

It doesn’t get better

Modern flushable toilets.

BEAUTIFUL landscaping.

Totally flat surface for tent.

Nested between two mountains for amazing views.

Plan to book months in advance.

Group sites incredibly spacious and worth every penny!

Fantastic for early hiking start, with parking being so competitive as early as 6 am.

Don’t miss this amazing experience.

Only drawback, showers are only available outside of park at outfitter stores

Served it’s purpose for early Zion start

Beautiful pine trees and lots of space per site.

No showers.

Black bear country, be careful with food.

Minimal cel service.

Magical creek campground in amongst red rock

First come first serve. Was delighted to pull up to a spot at 4:30 PM. It was a little nerve-racking to cross a running river in a sedan. Unrivaled views of the red rocks. Driving in be prepared for roads without guardrails but the most stunning drive of your life.

After finding your site, walk to the front billboard with $15 to put in an envelope provided in their cash box, then take a portion of the envelope as your reservation on the sites post.

Site 8 was spacious and had an picnic overhang structure to block sun.

Noisy and uncomfortable

Be prepared to drive in on a winding mountain with cows grazing, best not to drive in at night if can be avoided.

Our site wasn’t easy to use as it was on quite a slope with asphalt that was breaking up making the picnic table area dangerous to use.

Dated bathroom.

Very noisy at night.

Everything we needed

The sites were fairly close together, and there wasn’t a ton of privacy. G1, however, was separated from the rest by its own little drive. We appreciated the privacy, even if it meant being right on the main road. The 10 pm quiet policy was well followed by everyone. Bathrooms weren’t great, and I wondered why the trash cans didn’t seem bear-proof.

The park itself is nice, with a beautiful lake and beach, as well as trails.
