Cozy Campground

This is a nice, clean campground. They recently expanded it, so there are additional sites. It’s small, but we did not feel cramped or too close to others. The hooks were the closest we have ever had - which is very nice! Our cable didn’t work and normally we wouldn’t care, but it was a rainy weekend so it would have been nice - but we made due. Nice walking trail - wide path - has a couple steep hills, very pretty scenery. Store was well stocked and staff were very friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

Okay, but not well thought out

PROS This is a nice clean campground within walking distance to the Brewery - which is why most people camp there. Nice hiking trails, well marked and wide. WiFi was decent. Beautiful area with Mountain View’s.

CONS There are no trees on the RV section, which means if you camp in the summer months it is sweltering hot and your A.C. runs non-stop. In VA no one wants to sit outside in July or August when it’s 100 degrees.

RVers share a hookup with their neighbor which means even numbered sites have hookups on the driver side; odd number sites have hookups on the passenger side; this means you have to run all hoses and wires under your camper to your hookups and they need to be long. NOT a good setup at all.

Well Maintained

Stayed her in 2020. Nice campground, clean, has a general store with plenty of items. Staff were very friendly and escort you to your site. There is a pond, game room, laundry and pool. Not far to drive if you want to venture out into Fredericksburg. Will definitely stay again.

One of our Favorites

We love camping at Holliday Lake. It is completely off grid, and we like that! With busy jobs during the week it’s nice to unwind and enjoy nature. We hike, fish, swim, kayak, rent a motor boat, and just relax at our campsite. We watched a Bald Eagle and an Osprey for over an hour while kayaking on the lake. If you want down time this is a great place! The only con I will say is for RV’ers bring your leveling blocks - you will need them! The staff are friendly and check on you frequently; bathhouses are well maintained and clean.

Nice campground

We stayed in 2020, first time at this campground and will definitely stay again. Very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, plenty of places to hike, and Natural Bridge is a must see. Plenty to do at the campground - corn hole, pool, playground, etc. We stayed in a pull-thru full-hookup site, they also have tent sites and cabins. The campsites are close together, but a nice place; staff are very nice. We have a toy-hauler and this is a great place to bring your motorcycles if you want to enjoy a great ride with beautiful scenery!
