We have used this campground for three years. One of our favorites. Small and quiet. Lots of wildlife and flowers. Great support staff. We have camp hosted for the last two years.
We have camped at this park several times. My wife’s favorite. Very wooded small state park. 28 total sites all very shaded. Several basic sites some have wooden deck areas for tents easy to use dump and water. Mostly gravel pads and two cemented Ada accessible sites. Super staff and nice day use areas and boat ramp.
As other reviewers have said, this is basically a large gravel parking area. I really like easy when on a long trip and only stopping for a night’s sleep. I thought it was pretty quiet considering being a few hundred feet from hwy 95.
We have stayed here for two winters. My wife and I both enjoy the convenience of being close to town and the show grounds. In my opinion, other than the period right around the show La Posa West is a little quieter Ryan the other LTVA’s. There is a trash dumpster here but you do have to drive two miles to La Posa South to dump and get water.
