We were in site B5 (one of 15 sites out of 124 that have FHU), for 12 days in September and October 2020. This site was not very level but we had great views of the lake out the front and side of our MH. It had a grill with table, picnic table and a fire ring. The sites are nicely sized, well-spaced apart and angled, providing nice privacy. This is our second time visiting this CG because we enjoyed it last year. It’s a fairly quiet campground– even the weekend partiers quieted down around 10ish. There is no WiFi or cable, Verizon 4G was 3-4 bars, 8 OTA channels. We did not use the bathrooms. The Park Hosts that arrived in October were very friendly. Beautiful sunsets on site B5!
We stayed here for 2 weeks in September 2020. We had site 9, which is the same site we had when we were there last year. The site is short and narrow and kitty-corner to the sites to each side but it was gravel pad, level and had FHU with 30/50 amp. We had a view of the marina out our side window. The staff in the office that I dealt with was nice. They have a restaurant and bar, marina and airstrip. We did not visit the restaurant or bar nor did we use the bathrooms. I used the laundry room– 2 washers(1 broken) and 2 dryers. It was OK- could have been cleaner. Their WiFi was sketchy, there was no cable but 7 OTA channels were found. Verizon 4G service was 2-4 bars. It was very quiet except pm the weekends when there was a fair amount of plane noise on the airstrip. Best shopping is in Sherman about a half hour away.
We were here for 5 nights in August 2020. We were in back-in site 20, which was level, shaded and plenty wide and long enough for our 35’ MH and tow car. The pads are gravel with a paved pad for picnic table. There are a lot of pull through sites that are plenty long for big rigs and not tight together. They have FHU, great cable and very decent WiFi. Verizon cell service was 4G 4 bars. The fulltime and long-term folks are over in a different section. The park is on the Wichita River, has lots of ducks and geese that like the pond there and there are lots of kitschy things around the park. They have a pool, laundry and bathhouses- all clean. I did not meet any staff as they had contactless check-in– your paperwork is taped to the office door. There is plenty of shopping all around. We took a lovely hike through Lucy Park and saw the beautiful Wichita Falls. We would go back to this very nice park.
We stayed here for 2 weeks over Labor Day 2020. It is a secluded, large property far away from any road noise so it is very quiet. All sites have FHU 30/50 amp. Sites are either grass or some gravel. Our site, 25, was shady, grassy and level with room for us to park our car next to our MH. The owners are pleasant and helpful. When we arrived they were on vacation but they had a woman watching the park. She told us to pick any site. Our Verizon was 2 bars of 4G and I was told that AT&T is sketchy here. There is plenty of shopping in nearby Ardmore. There is 1 set of showers, a laundry room and 3 community fire pits. There are no dog runs but it seems nobody pays attention to the“Pets must be leashed and under control” rule. In my opinion this is one of those places where“Resort” is a misnomer. No picnic tables, cable, WiFi. Pool or other amenities associated with other RV Resorts. If you are in the area, especially for Lake Murray, you don’t need those other conveniences and enjoy peace and quiet this is a good place for you. Website is www.shangri-larvresort.com
