BLM camping and boat launch on the John Day

6 long level spots on the John Day. A few walk in tents spots too. 2 vault toilets No trash so pack in/pack out $5/night, self registration. Great spot in center of John Day Fossil Beds national monument. Across the way you could see the seasonal waterfall

Great option smaller RVs

On a 6 month road trip with no reservations. Pulled in on Sunday, June 4th and had several site options. Bathrooms are clean as is the camp sink. Loop A is RV only. 3 dumpsters for trash. Dump station and water fill is included in reservation. $5 for those without. Fairly level asphalt pads with fire pit and picnic table. Nice setting among the trees. Shuttle stop and access to multi use path at top of hill. Ram truck towing a 22” TT Stayed 3 nights as there is plenty to explore.

Reasonably priced for Moab

Couple miles south of downtown Moab. Dirt parking lot across from newish Hotel. Maybe 18 spots? Two coin op showers, laundry room has 4 washers and dryers that are $3 each and two dumpsters. Vance is host. Called to see if they had space starting May 29th for a few nights. He said no but then called back a couple minutes later and said yes had room for 4 nights. Yay! We have a 22’ TT but there were larger 32’ 5th wheels and some large Class A’s. Sites aren’t wide but you’ll be too busy adventuring to hang at the RV. WiFi is touch and go.

Excellent dispersed camping outside Silverton

4 miles outside Silverton, CO. Several options on both side of the creek. Easy, flat road into the area. Two bars LTE for AT&T. Decent space to turn ariuns before getting to last site. Some are wide open and others more shaded. A few patches of snow. Tons of sun midday for solar. Stayed mate May.
