My duck flew off at my first stay and everyone from the Park Ranger to the locals helped me find her and catch her! Going back a second time this month to one of the prettiest campsites I have ever been to!
Great showers and playground, day camping areas abound.
Had the best time staying in a very large and warm cabin
Nature surrounds, spring is a great time to visit too! The birdsong and birding is awesome, nice and quite this May!
Great place for kids, a pool to open soon; ideal for opening weekend in MN! Bonus points for helping clean up (bring rakes/yard tools) and you may even get a free stay and meal opening weekend if you help!!!
Overlooks the Pomme De Terre River, free to camp, wayside rest and with canoe drop in.
Three campgrounds, first come first serve. $10/day entry $40/daily for electric hook up (non-resident); no full hook-ups, no water, only 1 vault toilet open per campground. Year round availability, however- tough to find! Very hard to get a cellular connection (T-mobile). Beautiful views of the river, right along the edge if you tent camp. Multiple playgrounds, hiking trails and loads of nature, large beach and waterfalls.
Lovely back in lots, beautiful in fall. 2 playgrounds, one massive! Lots of trails, wildlife and close to the drive in movie theater. Quiet and peaceful with amenities we will be back to enjoy in the summer.
Sadly I needed 4 hours of internet and my cellular data here was spotty. I spent this time right outside the office.
There is a mini golf course, and an outdoor pool (closed for the fall).
A bit close to the highway but quick access to city amenities.
This weekend there was a screening of The Nightmare Before Christmas (one of our favorites) and loads of cool decked out campsites. Only a few places with full hook up and ALL by the dump station. Nice amenities, lake, splash pads, mini golf, splash pad outdoor pool, golf car rentals, outdoor movies, a full size haunted house!
The sunsets were spectacular at the private beach, boat rental availability for a whole day, flexible and friendly. Hook ups a bit squished together and as always we rolled in late, and Saturday night had a very thick smoky haze due to the density and humidity. Small store and restaurant, ice cream parlor.
We rolled in Sunday before labor day, this place was bumpin! There is a grocery store, ice cream shoppe, playground, boat launch and storage and lots of seasonal folks. As the season wrapped up most folks headed home before us, weather was cold but the place was still lovely and perfect for some R&R but my money is on this place being jam packed come Memorial Day 2021!
Really friendly folks, nearby beach, close to lakes and clean, had a lovely time. Close access to state parks and boating.
