Awesome disperses camping

Stopped here for a night while visiting Bryce Canyon and Red canyon. It’s right in the middle of both red and Bryce Canyon so great location. No hook ups, water or bathrooms so come prepared. Very quiet and peaceful here. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location to Zion

If you’re looking for a free spot to camp close to Zion this is an awesome spot. No hook up, no bathrooms, no picnic tables, no water so come prepared. Very cool little cave under the highway called belly of the dragon. There are t really any sites, it’s just find a good spot to camp. Less than a mile from a small town with gas stations.

Very small campground

Drove here on our way back from another campground in the area and decided to stop. Not very many campsites, maybe 8 at the most. If you have a trailer there is not much room to turn around. Lots of roads and trails to explore in the area and the river runs right next to the campground.

Very peaceful campground

Camped up here this weekend. It’s not the greatest road getting up there. For the most part the road isn’t bad but I was hauling a camper and a 20’ trailer with dirt bikes and quads so for me wasn’t the greatest. They have toilets here that were pretty clean and fresh water from a well pump. River runs right along the campground and makes for a very peaceful night sleep. You can ride your OHV right out of camp and up the roads for some great views. They also have horse tie ups and an elevated ramp for easier mounting of horses. For a free campground this is one of the nicest ones I’ve been to. Picnic tables and a fire ring at every camp site.

Great campground for dune access

Camped here in August 2020. Right at the edge of the dunes. They really pack the campers in tight here so if you like extra space this isn’t for you. Also there are people riding just behind the camp late into the night so may be hard to sleep for light sleepers.

Fun and Family Friendly

This place is great for families. Huge playground and lots of different types of camping available. If you ride ATVs, dirt bikes or side by sides there are over 300 miles of trails over 9,000 acres here. Water and sewer hook ups as well.

Great camping area!

I have stayed here many times. It is an ohv area so weekends, especially holiday weekends, can get loud and crowded. During the week it is very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful views of the saddleback mountains. Store and gas station about 2 miles down the road. Columbia river about 2 miles down the road.

Good stay close to Carlsbad Caverns NP

Overall not too bad of a campground. 15 minutes from Carlsbad Caverns National Park and less than 40 minutes from Guadalupe Mountains National Park. A little pricy in my opinion ($90 for 2 nights) but they have no competitors so they can charge whatever they want I guess. Full hookups and a store right next door within walking distance.

Great stay here!!

It was 111° the long weekend we stayed here but we found a spot with some trees by the lake and had electricity hook ups so it was actually quite nice. Almost had the entire place to ourselves. Lots of birds around. Very peaceful campground.
