Fairly busy campground in the heart of the valley.  I came here after a long backpacking trip to do some light dayhiking.  It seemed to have less people than Upper Pines where I stayed the night before.  It has great views as well.

Other than that it is a decent campground.  It has nice bathrooms and a sink to do dishes (that was full of food and made me worried about bears).  Bus stops are close by and so are several hiking trails.

Nice place to camp after backpacking in the park.  It is a lot less busy than the main campgrounds.  You do have to have a valid backpacking permit for either the day before or after you stay here.  The campground did fill up when I stayed there but it was only other backpackers so they were very respectful.  Decent views as well.

Decent campground, I stayed here before hiking to Bright Angel Campground the next day.

It is a very large campground but the sites are well spaced.  Very close to the canyon, great place to stay regardless of your plans at the park.

It takes some work to get here (aka hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon) but it is worth it! Nice campground, sites are a little small but they have a picnic table, food box and a place to hang your pack/boots. It also had running water and a bathroom with full plumbing.

Great place to stay and well worth the effort to get there!

This is one of my favorite campgrounds I have ever stayed at.  It offers easy access to the Redwoods and great views of the ocean.

The campground is nice and small and all the sites are well spaced out.  There are bathrooms with full plumbing and potable water.  

Great views for sunset as well!

Nice little campground right next to a pretty river.  When I stayed I was the only one at the campground.  The sites are near the road but it seemed to have light usage and I never heard cars in the night.  

No running water (unless you filter from the river) and no trash services, just a pit toilet.

This campground is a great place to stay before heading into the Trinity Alps.  A 20 minute drive on a dirt road leads to the China Gultch Trailhead, a popular trail leading to Grizzly Lake.

I would definitely recommend this site to anyone headed into the Alps.

Indian creek is probably my favorite campground out of all the Yellowstone camps. It felt more secluded and a lot less busy than the main ones offered in the park.

Madison is a nice campground.  Our tent site was kind of on an incline.  Only downside is its fairly busy, however I don’t think there is really anyway around this in Yellowstone.

Norris is a nice campground. It has all the amenities you could ever want.  Only downside is its fairly busy, however I don’t think there is really anyway around this in Yellowstone.

Bridge Bay is a nice campground.  It has all the amenities you could ever want.  Only downside is its fairly busy, however I don’t think there is really anyway around this in Yellowstone.

Grant Village is a nice campground.  It has all the amenities you could ever want.  Only downside is its fairly busy, however I don’t think there is really anyway around this in Yellowstone.

Decent campground far away from town. There are a limited number of sites but it is FREE!  Only downside is that is super windy there!  I felt like I was going to blow away, even with the wind barrier that’s at each site.

Not much to do here but a nice place to stay on your way through Wyoming.

The campground is quite nice. It has well made tent pads, dishwashing station and a bathroom with full plumbing. Sites are kinda close together but it’s not to bad because it is fairly well covered by trees.

Can’t beat the views of the mountains either!

The campground is right next to a super busy highway so you won’t get much sleep.  There are porta pottie.s right next to campsites (practically in them).

There is a nicer bathroom at the gasstation/hotel that the campground is run out of.  It has supplies wifi and showers as well.  

The campground is fairly close to Bryce Canyon but it is not worth staying at unless you absolutely need to.

Great campground in a surprisingly green area.  Sites are well layed out and sit right next to a small creek.  Nice play to stay when driving through Nevada.

This campground/park is awesome!  The campground is well spaced out and has nice pads for tents.  It also has nice covered picnic tables.  The bathrooms have full plumbing and there is an area to wash any dishes you may have.

Couldn’t ask for a cooler location.  The campground is right on the edge of a canyon and a small drive/walk will take you to spectacular views.

It is a small first come first serve campground right off of the road.  We arrived at 6pm and found it unexpectedly busy.  We were fortunate enough to get the last site!

We could hear every car that passed in the night but other than that it is a great place to stop at the end of a long day.

Great campground right next to the beautiful Butte Lake. Campground has two decent sized loops. Some of the sights seemed fairly close together but despite that they were nice sites.

Great campground at the center of the monument.  Really close to the visitor’s center and the entrances to some of the more popular lava tubes.  Only downside is that it is first come first serve, so get there early!
