Good price

Only $20 for a primitive site. The Washburn area is a short drive from the main camping entrance. There are pit toilets and most sites are quite level. Hearst castle was fun to visit.

Right by the beach

We really liked this campground. We arrived in the evening on a week day at the end of October and there were still plenty of sites. We picked a primitive site right by the beach for $35. We could see the ocean from our bed, very nice.

Nice park and well maintained

Nice green park with lots of partial (water + electric) $50 and full (water + electric + sewer) $55 sites. Lots of trees for shade. Bathrooms are very clean and there are also showers. The day use park also seems nice. You can hear the 101 but it’s not bad at all. You can pay with cash, check or cc. The water tastes very good.

Only downside for us is that all sites were hookups and that there are no primitive sites for rv’s.
