Lots of people and trash. Nice view of Tucson mountains and lots of space but that’s about it.
So incredibly beautiful! Easy to find with the coordinates, roads are tight and you need to drive slow, but you could get in even with low clearance to the spots near the front, you’ll need higher clearance if you keep going down the road.
Incredibly gorgeous, it feels like you’re on another planet.
Stayed here early February, the camp road is accessible even with sedan/2wd. Campsites are close together but there’s enough space and plant life that it doesn’t feel like you’re on top of one another. There’s some noise from the road above you but it’s more ambient pink noise than it is disruptive.
I will also add that the bathrooms were very clean!
Stayed here the first few nights in February 2023, the road was easily passable even in a sedan, no worse than any country dirt road! Only trash were the stray piece of glass. It’s very open so it gets windy in a tent. Also a plus for me, there were enough other campers that I felt safe as a woman camping alone but wasn’t so busy that you couldn’t have privacy.
