What a magical night spent surrounded by red rock. We stayed in campsite 21 from a previous reviewer and it was amazing. Gorgeous scenery and rams walking around. There was some toilets at the entrance, hot showers available for free at neighboring campsite. We had absolutely no phone service here. Private picnic table with cover and fire pit for each site. Definitely a must visit but be prepared for the heat and sand!
We stayed at Crazy Horse for one night while visiting Zion. It’s located in the gorgeous little town of Kanab. We purchased a campsite just to park our van after a long day of hiking. The staff was so friendly in the front office, they made you feel like family! And their dogs are so cute. We were able to take unlimited hot showers included in our nightly stay, the bathrooms were so clean and felt like a rustic spa. The laundry was coin operated, attached to the office. We walked to Escobar’s Mexican restaurant right next door for dinner and omg it was amazing. Best salsa we’ve ever had. We heated up leftovers the next morning in the office microwave. The best part of it all was the incredible scenery surrounding this rv park, red rock mountains everywhere and hiking trails. Kanab is a special town with friendly people, great shopping and food. Visit the shop Gifts of the West, owner was super sweet and we bought some beautiful native items. This place is a gem!
We stopped here overnight on our way to Zion from Page, AZ in May. It was a bumpy drive on a gravel road for a few minutes off of the main road but worth the drive out. It was first come first serve on spots, you can leave some stuff such as chairs or cooler to save the spot if you want to leave then come back. We paid $13 for the one night via a QR code posted on the main sign (ignore the sign about taking an envelope out of a box to secure a campsite number, they don’t use this anymore) online you can see which spots are available. We had our own a picnic table and fire pit, it was quiet and everyone was friendly. Perfect place for stargazing, great find would recommend!
We spent two nights back in end of May in our campervan and it was the perfect camping experience. Bathrooms were scattered around the campsite and close by. Showers were hot located at the main office with laundry, all coin operated. Elk were at the water station which was so cool! We had our own fire pit and picnic table. FYI if you travel in May- pack warm clothes for nighttime. It dropped into the 40s at night outside and we were very cold. Also the general store was a couple min drive away, great selection of merch and groceries. The butcher has great quality meat for sale, the burgers were amazing. Starbucks is in the lodge next door for a special treat :) There’s also a free shuttle service from the camp to different lookouts/trails around the Grand Canyon
