Lots of lil cozy pull offs on an easy gravel road. Lots of longer term people staying it seemed like (or just really full send camping friends lol). Many fire rings and spots by the lake. Unfortunately the other reviews are right - A decent amount of trash. There are trash cans and porta potties. I’ve seen worse porta potties at festivals but there were a few stinky ones.
We came from Boulder and it took us down a 10 mile dirt road that was pretty bumpy (you can avoid this just make sure your GPS takes you the longer way). Once going through all that hassle it was closed 🙃🙃
A small circle of dirt/sand. Pretty unlevel but ok for a night. There’s several fire pits and a beautiful overlook just a lil walk down with stunning sunsets and sunrises. Tons of tent options closer to the overlook that seem cozy!
The road up is rough and bumpy. We did like the previous review said and took the 2nd left. It snowed a few days before and left very large puddles which made us nervous to travel further. There were several options though and I’m sure even better ones higher up!
Easy, convenient, and very cozy. There’s paid showers, laundry, and every camp site has a picnic table + fire pit. Our site was a pull through and pretty level. The website does a good job describing each site.
Super easy to find + stay. We stayed right off the road in the circle. No one else came around. Would stay here again!
The gate was closed from Dec 1- April 30. Looked like it would have been a nice spot.
