The folks were very nice!
The check-in was as easy as it gets..
The sites were clean and nice and flat.
The laundry, bathroom and showers were spotless.
It's a great scenic location. There's a lot of green grass and a nice walking trail by the river.
Would absolutely stay again.
Bravo and well done!
This camp ground is conveniently located to Old Town Silver City.
The staff is friendly, the site was clean and level. The bathrooms and showers were clean as well. They were very fairly priced. I booked for one night but may well stay for two.
They have a nice laundry facility. It was a quiet enjoyable stay! I would come back again.
Really nice folks! Checked me in and then lead me to my site in his golf cart. Helpful info on where to find a grocery store etc.
Reasonably priced at $41.00, the site was level (gravel) and the wifi was really very good.I had 60 mb download speed and 20 MB upload without a booster.
Grocery store is about a mile away and have a decent beer, wine and liquor selection. All the important stuff :) There's also a hardware store and a tractor supply within about a mile.
Close to the I-40 exit but not close enough for road noise. Very convenient!
You have to reserve your site in advance via Recreation.gov.
The park is adequate but nothing fancy. The restrooms /shower facility was clean.
Good bicycle park. Minimum 2 night stay when I reserved it (Friday Night). I only needed 1 night but paid for both - $26/night.
I didn't stay the second night because of my schedule, not because of the park. Good basic stay for the money. It was safe and clean.
I called ahead and arrived after hours. It was as easy as it gets. They said to just pick an open site and register in the am. I had a lake front site, with a nice fire pit and picnic table and grill setup.
The next morning I registered / paid $44.00 for the night. Super friendly staff. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
The KOA was easy to find, easy to check in. The cell signal was good (AT&T) and the wi-fi was acceptable - about 8 MB dl speed and 1 MB upload. I was a ways away from the main building - site #52.
The restaurant / bar closed at 5 pm but it's February, so there's that. If you are looking for easy access and don't mind traffic noise it's fine. The sites aren't very large but plenty for my Jeep and Pop-up camper. They were nice and level.
The showers / restroom was very clean. I didn't make use of the laundry facility.
The staff was very friendly, I received a warm welcome. The sites are clean, level and laid out well. I needed a quick overnighter and it was convenient. Easy to access of I-81 but that leads me to the only thing that kept me from giving all 5 stars.
The campground is very, very close to I-81 so you do here the traffic. A lot. If you are a light sleeper you may have issues with the traffic noise. That is the only negative in an otherwise very nice site.
