We stayed last year during the fall and the views were breathtaking. Close to tons of beautiful hikes. As for the campground. It was quiet, comfortable, and kid, as well as pet friendly. Would definitely camp here again. The staff was friendly and the bathroom facilities were kept nice and clean.
Nice little weekend getaway. Clean bathrooms, roomy tent sites, nice staff. Fun playground and nature area for kids. Very family friendly place with beautiful hikes to Hamilton falls.
Smugglers notch was not only beautiful but the campground was one of the best ones I’ve stayed at. We stayed in cherry (leanto) site which was fairly private and big enough for us to set up our 8 person tent. They were pet friendly which is always a plus. The bathrooms were the cleanest ones yet. The staff was friendly and helpful. They make nightly rounds to check on the campers and make sure no one has any questions or concerns. There were trails leading from campgrounds and beautiful views. We had an unforgettable weekend. Would 100% camp there again in the future!
This campground has been our favorite by far. The spots are huge, and mostly private. When we go camping we don’t want to be right up against our neighbors and at worthington we pretty much had our own little island. Bathrooms were clean and showers are separate and private. Plenty of beautiful trails with lots of wildlife! If you enjoy kayaking or canoeing they have sites which have river access right from your site. I believe they offer electric and rv sites As well. But the best part is that you’re close to some beautiful hikes like Mt. Tammany, and Crater Lake!
My son absolutely loved this place. There’s anything and everything you could think of available to keep everyone busy. A water park, volley ball field, playgrounds, amphitheater, nature center, nature trails, and boat rentals at the lake.
It is a huge park, with secluded spots available for tent camping, cabins, and regular open spaces for camping rvs with electric hook up. Staff was friendly, campgrounds were well kept. It can get a little crowded but it’s worth it to stay. If you don’t like crowds, I suggest coming during the week days!
We were able to get a yurt as a walk up after the office closed thanks to the help of a kind staff member. The yurt was cozy and had a waterfront view of the pond. They fit up to 5 people and are air conditioned, but you’ll need your own sheets, pillow, & blankets! The campground was well kept with some trails, views of the pond all around, a small play ground, several bath houses, and an activity spot with cornhole and ladder ball set up. Pets are allowed except in the cabins and yurts.
If you like privacy the cabins and yurts provide plenty of it, and they do offer secluded island tent spots as well. The Reginald spots were a bit open and close to gether but they had electric and non electric available. There were canoe and kayak rentals for $10 an hour. Overall a fun place for the family. The only reason I gave it a 4 outta 5 is the fact that the bathrooms and showers were a bit dirty but other than that it was a great stay!!!
This place was great, the staff was very helpful. We got there late and a ranger helped us get a spot. The spots are nice and cozy. They had a few cabins, as well as electric spots and non electric. The bathrooms And showers were very clean.
Theres plenty to do with the family. Nice nature trails, a lake with canoe and kayaks for rent ($10 an hour) which I definitely recommend. We saw so much local wildlife on our trip to the lake. They had cool playgrounds for the kiddos made out of recycled tires. My son really enjoyed that. If you get a chance to explore the surrounding area, I would check out the local arboretum. Overall an awesome little escape from our busy everyday lives!
This place is great for rvs. They have many amenities form a lake to swim or fish, to playgrounds, theres a convenient store and even an arcade, and the best part is all the farms around. You can go apple picking and such at all the beautiful orchards that surround the campgrounds. We had a lovely time!!!
Great stay. Our campsite was bigger than most places we’ve stayed at. It’s a family friendly place with lots to do. The hikes were beautiful and you’re close to wine and cheese country. We visited a local farm and got fresh fruits and local cheese to take back to camp with us. The playground was awesome. My kid really enjoyed this place. There’s water available at almost every campground and plenty of space for group camping.
This place was great, they allow dogs and had hiking trails with beautiful views you could enjoy right from your campground. It’s also close to other local hikes like Mt. Tammany. The campgrounds and bathrooms were clean and well kept. Great place to get away for the weekend with the family!!!
